W.I.S.E

I'm a member at Aria's Ink, a Sailor Moon fanfiction archive, and lately, we've been very concerned over the declining state of the SM fandom (all fandom, actually) and writing in general. So, over the past few days, a lot of dedicated members helped to develop W.I.S.E., a program to help restore the Sailor Moon fandom to its former glory. W.I.S.E. stands for 'Writing to Improve Standards of Excellence', and its aims are to improve fanfiction writing by encouraging authors through honest critiques. By critiquing honestly, writers are better able to learn from their mistakes and grow in their writing.

W.I.S.E. isn't just about getting reviews, it's also about establishing a connection between authors and readers. Authors can help the critiquing process by leaving discussion questions such as "Are there any particular phrases, images or scenes that stand out and linger?" or "Does the beginning invite you into the story and pique your interest?" By opening a dialogue with your readers, you'll get better feedback and learn more about your readers than saying "Read and review!" at the end of each update.

What is WISE?

WISE stands for 'Writing to Improve Standards of Excellence' and represents authors and readers who want to improve writing standards in fanfiction. Through writing or reviewing, WISE members strive to help out one another through honest critiques and unique storylines to bring up slowly declining standards rampant in fanfiction today.

To be a member, you should write extraordinary stories and/or review stories honestly pointing out their good and bad aspects with the intention of helping the author grow as a writer.

To be added to the Wise group, you can just act as Wise says or if you want a badge then go to Aria's Ink and become a member.

Story Status & Things to Look For in the Near Future

Letting Go (SM)- As of right now this story is DISCONTINUED. (I have no interest anymore in finishing it. This was started way back when I first joined the fandom, and started my own hand at writing. I was young and had no idea what I was doing. But now I'm four years older, and I've grown as a writer- at least I hope so. I'm still not a fantastic writer, and that's all right. But I've realized that I've learned some new tricks, and have improved my writing by at least a small amount. But basically it's not going to get finished because of other writing projects, and whatnot. I hope some of you who have waited for the story to continue understand that I've lost interest in the story, and therefore can't continue it.)

The Love Letter- As of right now, this story will be left as is.

Monologue Series II: Sailor Moon- The second installment in my Monologue Series. (On hold indefinitely.)
