Author has written 4 stories for Sonic the Hedgehog, Star Wars, Redwall, and Elder Scroll series. Avatar by Exploder (this site)/Explodering (dA). I figure it's about time I actually filled this section out. I've been lurking and writing essay-length reviews for a couple of months now, but I actually think I have something of my own to post this time! Well, maybe not exactly - I'm going to stop hoarding the story stubs I've already got in the hopes that making them public will actually motivate me to write from time to time. Please, push me for various Next Chapters, at the rate I'm going on my own they'll be years coming otherwise! Also, I cannot express how much I value detailed reviews - if you like what I've got, let me know so I can do it again next time. And if not, tell me so I can fix it. Thanks in advance! A little about me - I'm a student at the University of Pittsburgh working my way up to a double-major in Eastern European History and Fiction Writing. I've got more ideas than I know what to do with when it comes to writing, which inevitably means that none of them actually get written beyond a few chapters before I wander off to the next project. Like I said above, that's why I'm finally coming out of my shell and trying to lock into a couple of pieces instead of a couple dozen. When it comes to fandoms, I'm all over the map. I'm drawn to a variety of things, including military science fiction, space opera, high and low fantasy alike, and even just series with characters I'd like to know in real life. Series that hit two or more of these, like Sonic the Hedgehog and Star Wars, are particularly strong - and of course series I grew up with are even more powerful. Now, on to my actual stories. I've resolved once again to stop hoarding, since while I resent the phrase "holding stories hostage for reviews" I have to admit the early feedback I got on Reconstruction helped me get back on track whenever I'd set it aside. As with my interests, these stories are spread across a number of fandoms, though if asked I'd classify even the Sonic/Star Wars crossover as fantasy - just like my nascent original works, come to think of it. In any case, I'm hoping that even the simple act of posting stories here will help me refocus and keep driving along with at least one or two of them. I hope you enjoy my work! Who knows, I might eventually have more of it for you! Stories: "Reconstruction": My first real fanfiction project, this idea has been in the works in some form or another for three years and might actually get written this time. It is set in the aftermath of the Sonic X Metarex arc but features geography and characters from the various other continuities to set the scene. I'm trying to keep this one fairly lighthearted, as much as the concept allows, and experimenting with writing from one character's (Tails) point of view for an extended length. "Agency": Inspired by Pyre-Vulpimorph's "Tails of the Old Republic" saga, this is my attempt to integrate post-Sonic-X Tails with one of the most adventure-friendly fictional universes in literary history. Unfortunately I have a better idea of where I want this story to end than I do of how it'll get there, so I've stalled out on it multiple times and even pulled it from ffnet twice in the past out of frustration. I've resolved not to pull that stunt again unless I completely rewrite it (again) after all, at least, and I would dearly love to make progress on it again. "In Their Absence": Another long-time idea from a radically different universe, I originally had the idea of making this into a mod for Skyrim. When I realized how hideous I was with the creation kit I shelved that idea, but held onto the concept. Not only is poor benighted Tamriel a much different world from Mobius or the Galaxy Far, Far Away, the story is meant to have a very different tone from Reconstruction. Not line by line, ideally, but at least overall. "Reign of the Burned Fox": This story is, for want of a better term, my answer to "Outcast of Redwall." It's also an attempt to write a villain (?) protagonist - yes, he's innocent of the crime that got him exiled, and much of what he really did do was in the spirit of fun or at worst rivalry, but he still isn't a lily-white hero like Tails or my other characters, and I have...plans for him later down the road. Also, this fox is the seed kernel of an entire furry low-fantasy universe I've been cobbling together, but since I've never gotten past the third chapter of any story in that 'verse - I may need to just try short stories for a while - I decided to go back to the fanfic idea that started it all. GENERAL DISCLAIMER: I do not own any characters, settings, vehicles, icons, etc. associated with the series involved in my fanfiction works (presently "Sonic the Hedgehog," "Redwall," "The Elder Scrolls," and "Star Wars"). These are my own amateur works and are not intended to profit from the intellectual property of others in any way. |
