Lara of Jasoom, commenced in my teens, was completed in 1968 (in between raising 4 kids) and left in a box forgotten until my granddaughter [December Sapphire] expressed an interest in 2012. It was based, of course, entirely on the books of Edgar Rice Burroughs and written long before anyone ever imagined a movie.

Adding a few new concepts to those of ERB I wrote three contiguous sequels to Lara in 2013, which I'm now (Mar 2014) posting as new chapters to the original story. Part II describes Lara and Carthan's discovery of a time portal; Part III tells of their adventures on Earth; Part IV is what happened after their return to Mars. There will be about 35 chapters in all.

If you haven't read ERB's books, please do - the first five have been posted in this section. They explain so much that the movie left dangling - did JC return to Barsoom, and if so what and whom did he find when he got there? Who were the Therns, where did they come from, and who was their leader?
