They are like two halves of a whole, separate entities that slot together, brain synapses firing through the air, passing through skin and glances, half formed thoughts and smiles until Mycroft knows Sherlock better than he knows himself, knows him inside out, every gesture, every movement, can read him like a book, his own story slotting into the corresponding pages.

This is what it feels like to feel alive. This moment of desperate chases through London back streets, of warm hands to help pull over walls, of the familiar weight of the gun in his hand, of the slick feel of snow falling down the collar of his jacket.

Molly Hooper is a watcher, because no one notices Molly, and in return she notices everything. She watches what other people cannot see, will never see, the study of Sherlock and John that Molly cannot bear to look away from.
