Hi, I'm Jess :) my cousin El gave me this account when she got a new one, she won't tell me the username of her new one because she's pretty paranoid about people reading her stuff. If you read my stories you'll know I like creating new OCs... why? Because it allows me to be more imaginative within the boundaries of an existing world. Do you know what I mean? I don't like just using the characters given by a writer, because I feel too trapped within the boundaries of their personalities. I don't like writing stories with entirely original characters and concepts, because all the freedom is too much for me. I hope you like my stories!

Update 21/6/09: Thought I'd use this page to let y'all know what's going on with my writing, if anyone's interested. So here goes.

I have nineteen fics on the go, fifteen of them actually underway (as opposed to just in the planning stages). That's not to mention the fic from an old account that I'm rewriting, or the six original novels that I hope will one day be published (two of which are on hiatus). As you may or may not know, I generally don't post any part of a fic until the whole thing is completed. My habit of starting something and then focusing on something else and abandoning the first thing is an unfortunate character flaw of mine. Just some background to let y'all know that my failure to post is due to my having so much stuff on the go at any one time. Of course, most of it is a result of pure laziness. Anyway, I should probably say some stuff about the fics you're (presumably) actually interested in.

SEQUELS

- I'm working on a sequel to Dragon Heartstring. I maybe write about 500ish words a month for that one, so really, don't expect it to be out anytime soon. If I ever get it out though, rest assured that there will be magic and intrigue and devilish plots ;)

- I'm working on a trequel (if you will) to follow on from Internal, Infernal and Engaged, Enraged. I have about a thousand tiny little pseudo-idea clusters flying around that may grow into coherent storylines for that, but as of now I'm just flying blind and writing whatever pops into my head. So if anyone knows of anything they'd like to see in that, a dropped-line may lure some pseudo-idea fish to my vat of writing chops. And yes, I know that metaphor made about four kinds of the opposite of sense, but shutup. Of all my fics this is most likely to be out before any of the others, just because of the fun I have writing Raphaela and all the silly little things she does.

- The sequel to Fallen From Grace that I planned way back when I started writing the original is still not finished, and it looks bleak. There's really only a couple of chapters to go, but what I've written was done so long ago that I don't think I could stand to post it as-is. It may have to suffer through an entire rewrite, and knowing me, Merlin knows how long that's going to take.

NEW STUFF

- I'm not going to bore you by telling you about everything I'm in the middle of, but there's some really fun characters and sweet storylines (if I do say so myself) that I've got going on here, so you should check it out when it comes out.
