I have decided to edit my profile here to reflect my current endeavors and what plans I have with continuing on Fanfiction. (Also decided to change my profile picture to a contemplative Mugen...thinking about Fuu and their journey.)

After a large disappearance in 2019-2020, I am now back full throttle!!

I can bet most of you who come here are the ones curious about FTFES...WY?. I had originally started writing this at the age of 13, back in 2012, never expecting that it would amass such a large following. I learned a lot about storytelling from it, and also was given the confidence to share my writing with others. At the start, I wanted nothing more than a cutesy romance story that would fulfill my fangirl needs. But over the years, I saw that this would be a travesty to the characters, and have decided to implement even more plot points, more characters, and a development between Mugen and Fuu that would be realistic for them, as well as more frustrating.

Before I get into it, I have a Discord server dedicated to Samurai Champloo and this fanfiction, as well as just about random Japanese stuff. If you're interested, please send me a message! Lot's of Japanese cultural info, character inspirations, chapter plans, sneak peaks, Samurai Champloo fanart etc. gets posted there!

Will it continue? Yes. (Unless I die.)

How many chapters are left? Roughly 19. It seems like a lot but...there are few plot arcs remaining before the grand finale.

When was your last update? June 19th 2020. Very recent.

When will your next update be? August 20th, 2020 at the latest. Running a bit behind schedule due to returning to work recently.

Lately I've been updating frequently! Since April 20th, there's been five new chapters, as well as rewrites on three old chapters. So, you can expect a new update every 20-40 days. If an update takes 40 days, then it likely means another chapter will be released in 10 days. I am currently working on Chapter 42 and a one-shot fantasy sequence simultaneously so update will be slower.

What is holding you back? To be honest, it is the earlier chapters. I want to go back and not only revise the abundance of syntax errors, bad writing mistakes (like purple prose or using ugly words), but also completely rewrite some of the chapters, while still having some of it stay intact. So I am stuck between revising, but also writing new chapters. Every Chapter before 17 will be rewritten with better episodic style plot lines! And all chapters will be reworked eventually for grammar mistakes, and to allow the story to flow better.

Plans for that Chapter 40 Torrential Temptation fantasy sequence? So after the stuff that happened in Chapter 40, many people have requested I write a lemon/lime after I suggested possibly doing it. Is it being made? Yes. 100% (Forgive me Lord, for I have sinned). So the general idea of it, is it is Mugen and Fuu's fantasies of what could have happened in Chapter 40, had Giri and Tsuru not interrupted. So, their thoughts are very much canon to FTFES..WY?, since it's all in their heads! This will likely be posted right around when Chapter 42 is posted, because this is when they get the chance to think about what could've happened. So expect it to be posted anywhere from July to August.

I know many of you have messaged me on Tumblr, Fanfiction, and emails. If I haven't gotten back to you, please message me one more time, as I had disappeared for a long period, and now have many messages that are over a year old!
