Well, what to say? Truth be told, I haven't even looked at this place in months, and really the purpose behind revisiting is due mainly to the few reviews I've gotten lately, prompting a response of some sort.

First off... wow. I'm shocked that people even still read some of this stuff, let alone like it. I look back at things like Protect Me and Soul and cringe... I can write a lot better now, but don't often get the opportunity or inspiration to like I used to. Then you've got such oldies like A Fairy Tale and Soul Searcher... and I almost want to move to another country and change my name.

That being said, my heart felt thanks go out to all who have read and enjoyed my pathetic excuse for literature, regardless of whether you reviewed or favorited anything. Knowing that at one point I was very proud of what I wrote... and that there were people who enjoyed reading them, is an amazing feeling.

Back to the present, I'm afraid that I cannot promise better progress. Even if my life weren't on a flaming train speeding off the edge of a cliff, I just can't find the time or will to really write like I used to. Gah, I miss the days when I used to bust out 20-30 pages a day... and now, I consider it an accomplishment if I can get two. What I need to do is get back in the habit of writing everyday like I used to, regardless of whether I like it or not, and maybe someday I will. But not right now, I'm afraid. Gosh, you have no idea how many times I'd pick up my computer with the intent of working on chapter 17 of Protect Me only to put it down ten minutes later, frustrated by staring at the same three lines over and over again. Excuses, excuses, I know... but that's the story of my life for the time being, and I have to deal with it sooner or later.

I've probably said this a million times over, so just for old times sake, let me repeat myself: I'm certainly not the most popular author on this site, nor the most talented, but damn it all if I don't have the best readers. In the many years I've been on here, sucking up your time and energy, procrastinating on posting worse than just about anyone else, never once have I ever received a complaint. All I ever got were encouragements and support from friends and strangers alike... hell, I think I was even nominated for some award, once. Sheesh... I still say that person was on crack. But, that aside, everybody who stumbles across my stories is a treasure to me. I mean that truly and sincerely.

I'd like to say that I've reformed and will start updating regularly again... but of course, you know that would be a flat out lie. However, I will be rereading some of these, and seeing if any inspiration comes from it. Again, things are really hectic right now, and there are probably a billion other things that I should probably be worrying about... but I haven't forgotten how happy diving into a good story, whether through writing or reading, has made me. Falling back into my old vices might be theraputic, and it might be disastrous... but if nothing else, I might be able to squeeze a few more chapters out, right?

Anywho... enough babbling. Thank you to all who have even read this far... you can look away from your computer screen knowing you have positively influenced the life of one person in the world.
