Author has written 3 stories for Harry Potter, and Lord of the Rings. I am a long time writer of fanfiction - as many people say, I was writing it before I knew there was a word for it. Never Too Late for a Happy Childhood was the first story I ever published to the internet. I see a lot of flaws in it now, but I keep it published because people seem to like it. Draco Malfoy and the Tea Cozy of Doom was the second, but alas, as I became a better writer I came to see it had some errors that couldn't be fixed, so off the web it went. I still try to turn it upside-down and inside out sometimes to see if I can get any good stuff out of it. Mostly I can't. Words was my attempt at immitating Hermione's inner pretentiousness, and also to answer the question, "What the heck would Draco and Hermione even have in common?" As a characterization of an early Hermione, I think it was fine, though as a story I suppose I'd write it differently now. Eh-hem! "A Light in May," heavily revised, is finally finished and posted. I can't seem to do anything about the formatting of the last two chapters, but I believe it is still comfortably readable. Better late than never, eh? I thought it would go the way of Draco and the Tea Cozy, but it stuck with me and I finally put the last chapter up. Please note that in re-editing this story I combined some chapters and there are now TWELVE chapters, not seventeen. Glorfindel Fair was the result of an interest in Tolkien's style of poetry, as well as my fascination with how things change in oral tradition, particularly traditions dealing with "legendary" historical figures. I think it turned out rather well. I also post Lord of the Rings fanfiction at ( storiesofarda dot com ) and the errors in formatting in LIM are invisible there. Hint, hint. |
