Author has written 8 stories for D N Angel, Kingdom Hearts, and Harry Potter. My writing ability came back. Some of it, at least. After like, 10 years. What even. I haven't posted anything because now I actually want to finish stuff before I dig myself a bed of lies by saying I'll finish something when I seem woefully incapable of ever doing so. So there's that. Also I have new profiles in places. (And I'm saying this here because it was recently pointed out to me that someone took Ferret In My Shoe and the sequel and tried to claim them as their own on Wattpad, which, ya know. Nuh-uh.) So! I have a Wattpad and AO3 account, on both of which you can find me as CrystalKyuubi. Now for the stuff I'd posted before 'cause it still kind of applies. (I'm on like...chapter 4 of that rewrite?) Man...life, amirite? For those of you who may stumble across this crumbling, largely abandoned thing I call a profile, I apologize if you were looking for something great, or some new stories, or anything of the sort. I've been busy, lol. Somehow I went from a very aimless 'I don't know what to do with my life I guess I'll try advertising' to now being a Chiropractor working with an Olympic team in China. So that was a life plot twist. I wish I could say ideas came to me like they used to, but sadly they just don't. I still read a fair amount of fanfiction, and I am slowly working on a rewrite for Ferret in My Shoe, and trying to make something of Shadowed Conviction because my old writing style bugs me for reasons, especially in the realm of character interaction. That being said, if my proper writing muse ever returns, you'll know where to find me :) {The rest I'll just leave as it is} Now then, since I've seen a bunch of people talk about their stories in their profile, I decided I like when people do that, so I shall too. All Inuyasha Stories: Have now been deleted. As Edna Mode says, "I never look back, dahling! It distracts from the now." In Progress (really. really. ...really slow progress.) [A.K.A. Unfinished until further notice] Shadowed Conviction: Hiatus! (Kingdom Hearts Riku/Sora) Since he turned 14, Sora has been seeing strange creatures -shadows- everywhere, and everyone is starting to think he might have gone insane. He starts becoming confused himself about the line between his dreams and reality. He is finally able to show Riku, who tries to help out, but Sora is attacked and taken away by these creatures. Sora finds himself fighting in a battle where he doesn't even know his own significance, and Riku sets off on his own quest to bring the boy back. This is my favorite story of mine so far, but I get more motivation for my HP fics, and so have been working on those. (And I'm slightly stuck on this one...) Completed Ferret In My Shoe: (Harry Potter Draco/Harry) Harry finds Malfoy with the other ferrets in a pet shop the summer before their 7th year, and decides to take him home to question him about his reason for being there. Malfoy discovers a lot about Harry as he waits for Harry to come of age and turn him back, and decides he was hating him for all the wrong reasons. As Draco has no desire to join the death eaters, he goes into hiding under the cover as Harry's familiar when they return to school. Oh yeah, and don't forget Harry's new power! (It's over nine-thousand!) Lots of fluffy goodness in this one. =) Also, redrose-melody was awesome enough to draw a fanart for this story! If you want to see it, go here: http:///art/HP-Fic-What-s-up-80445453 Corrupted Legacy: (Harry Potter Draco/Harry)(Sequel of Ferret In My Shoe) The title says a lot. Voldemort is dead, the boys have finished with school, you would think everything is peachy, right? Not just yet. Draco finds a kitten...Harry finds a kid. Harry starts acting weird, and Draco tries to figure out why. Turns out there's some crazy obscure voodoo stuff going on and Harry, as usual, is front and center. While he struggles with not turning evil, everyone else struggles to find a solution. Lost Around You: (D.N.Angel Satoshi/Daisuke) Daisuke is forced to steal the Chaos Gem in his own body, but nobody will tell him why. Of course Krad decides to show, and messes everything up by trying to take the gem back. Krad and Dark are sucked in, and Satoshi and Daisuke are left trying to figure out what happened and how to get them out; while on school vacation no less. Things get complicated when Daisuke sprouts wings and the gem chooses him for reasons unknown. This one was started a couple of years ago, and I can't say I'm all that proud of the first few chapters, but I'm just a bit too lazy to rewrite them into anything better. And for the hell of it, here's some random fanfiction pet-peeves of mine -People that don't have a good grasp of the English language...trying to write in the English language. I think it's great that you want to write and all, but if you're going to do that...please at least find a beta that does speak English well. When I read a story, I want to just be able to see the picture in my mind, without rewording the sentences and basically rewriting the story in my head first. - Cliched plots. I see this everywhere with oftentimes the highest popularity, even when they're poorly written. Those that are like me and try to keep away from overused story lines don't always get the attention they should for some really well-written stuff. Also cliched descriptions or phrases. Like my least favorite: when a character suddenly thinks something about loving someone they didn't know they loved, and the response is always 'Wait, what?! Did I just say love?' or something like that and yeah, it usually causes me to just back out of the story because the rest is usually just as unoriginal. -(A/N) This...is probably the most annoying to me. When authors put that into the middle of the writing. And it's usually to add in something that should be able to be explained in the story itself, but apparently could not be worked into the plot, or the words. To me these interrupting author's notes just scream 'amateur.' I used to add those in...they were abundant in my Inuyasha stories. I was also 14-15 when I wrote those. Basically the story loses all seriousness when I run across one of those notes. I feel more detached from the characters and the story when I am abruptly halted in my reading and reminded that the images in my mind are really just words on a screen. I like to get lost in the world of a good story thank you... -reviews consisting of five words or less. Namely something like, "update soon", (yeah I try) or, "great story". Yeah...thanks and all, but, leave a little something worth looking forward to, yeah? One of my favorite things in the world is opening my inbox and seeing a review alert. Then I get two words, and am left with something to be desired in that...come on, tell me what you thought! What did you like about it? What didn't you like? And most of all, what could I do to improve something? I adore constructive criticism! -Gender-swapping. Really, if you can't even keep the character in their original gender, why write a romance about it? That's not who they are, and thus it becomes a fic about a different pairing. I just don't get it. -.- If it's a guy...why would you suddenly want them to be a girl? To me it's as bad as making them OOC to the point of losing their original character identity...) |
