I'm not really a big time writer and I mostly just write for fun or too relieve stress. Writing fanfiction is surprisingly therapeutic. I guess I also like the practice too, as I enjoy writing actual fiction as well. It's definitely something to do when you're bored.

I like the occasional fanfic here and there, but one big pet-peeve I have is OCs. I'm not saying they're bad in principle, but when a story has more OC characters than the actual characters of the subject, or even worse, when a story is 100% OCs, then I really don't consider that fanfiction anymore; It's basically just you ripping off an idea and using it for your own fictional story. Most people who use OCs don't know when to stop either, or they don't have a sense of when 'too much is too much.' I guess same goes for a majority of shipfics, or OC shipfics (my worst nightmare).
