Well, finally trying my hand at this writing thing with Legend. Please let me know what you think if you have a moment. Much of it is already mapped out, but I am going to keep an open mind to any valuable thoughts I run across.

I really am looking for advice and critiques. When I say I am new to writing I mean I really am. Have never written fiction, much less anything with dialogue before, so I know I have the room to grow that could probably park an aircraft carrier. Come to think of it, I haven't written anything especially formal since high school. I'm an architect (landscape architect actually, but nobody really knows what that is) and never had to in college either. The things I do have are a fair amount of intelligence, an eye for detail, a perfectionist streak that borders on annoying, and an open mind.

I've read some truly wonderful stories on this site since I discovered it months and months ago. There are a great many truly talented individuals on here and I hope I can even begin to live up to the mammoth expectations your examples have set for me. Thanks to you all for providing a ton of entertainment and interesting takes on familiar worlds.

Legend Status:

5/28 - Wow has it ever been awhile. Sorry, but as I predicted things have been...bumpy. Not just for my personal life...and indeed my life in general, but also for this fic and even my motivation for writing it. I AM back to a degree though and have been working on things. 6/18 - Okay, so not as quick as I wanted. Rather than wait and post another 15k word epic though I'm breaking the chapters up into smaller 7k or so chapters (more the usual length anyway). Look for the first to post tonight (hopefully). The next...maybe a week later? (Next Update Status - POSTED)

11/21 - Holy...Has it really been four months since my last update? So, umm...sorry then? Guess what though? I'm not dead and Legend isn't dead, just...hibernating...temporarily. Had another kid and work's been crazy busy so I've been a bit distracted. In good news I posted a little Agents of SHIELD one-shot and have a DC Universe one-shot underway. But I've also been working on Legend. (Next Update Status - 50%)

10/18 - Shockingly, I got the itch and have been making progress on Chapter 5. We're 4k words in at this point. Sorry to keep Mass Effect fans waiting this long, but it's finally coming. (Next Update Status - 40%)

10/22 - Up to 5.5k words now. Plowing along after getting very little done this weekend. (Next Update Status - 60%)
