![]() Author has written 5 stories for Harry Potter. I'm not really too sure what to put here. I enjoy reading and writing, having made a hobby of them both for several years. While a career as a writer would be something I think would be great, I still look at my own writing as a creative outlet for my otherwise logical life. My style, naturally, bends towards lighter stories, in terms of the mood and atmosphere and also the description as I prefer to focus on what's important. That said, I often try different approaches, taking a unique perspective on a situation or character to get something new out of it. Hopefully I haven't been too boring and hopefully you enjoy my stories. Erm, goodbye from me? It's been a while from me. To be honest, it all got a bit much. For me, every review was like a tricky square in Minesweeper where I could only be so sure it was safe to tread. In other words, I was getting enough reviews that it was causing me to go through uncomfortable anxiety every time I uploaded a new chapter in my few little fanfics. I originally solved that problem by looking at reviews as often as I could, but it was just too much and I broke away instead. I would apologise for leaving all my beloved readers hanging, but I won't. Unspoken Words began as a one-shot that I continued since people seemed to like it, but I got in the habit of forcing myself to write it and I'm really unhappy with how it ended up. Luna's Helping Hand was good fun while it lasted, but I know I've set myself up with something a little too far out of my comfort zone. Absolute Loyalty was an unfortunate error in timing. Sacrifice is something I quite liked, and still like, but it was emotionally draining and may have added to the stress. Rather than leave things as they are, I've abandoned Unspoken Words and am writing Best to say nothing as a sort of reboot, with (still) a mute Harry, but this one had a bit more solidarity and sarcasm as well as a second-person narrative that's heavily influenced by a recent re-reading of Bungle in the Jungle and it's sequel by jbern. Absolute Loyalty, Luna's Helping Hand and Sacrifice will have new chapters released in the next few weeks (Absolute Loyalty now has a second chapter.) I can't promise a regular release schedule - university life is pretty unpredictable for me - but I hope to stick to a minimum of one chapter a week between the four stories (ie, a minimum of once a month updates for each individual story.) |
