Author has written 20 stories for Vocaloid, Kuroshitsuji, Web Shows, Rise of the Guardians, and Super Smash Brothers. Formerly known as Kagamination, I have changed my pen name because I have become a Miku fan. I over all just prefer Miku songs to Rin although I do still love all the Vocaloids. Also, if you're following a story of mine the way I typically work is I'll write a bunch of chapters really quickly and then stop for a month or two and get back to writing, rinse and repeat. I'm scatter brained with a million ideas for stories that may or may not be fanfiction. Sorry you're stuck with me. Anyway, not much a profile as you can see. My FictionPress account for original stories: https://www.fictionpress.info/u/867539/Hatsunation My alternate fanfiction for posting my Percy Jackson collab fic: /u/6320445/ASitshouldbe Cheque out my You Tube gaming channel!: http://www.youtube.com/user/Rinniika Deviant Art: Same username as here. won't let the link show for some reason. My profile is pretty pathetic but I thought I might use this space to write down my fanfiction pet peeves in hopes that people who view my profile my take them into insight. So here. 1. Posting the story's summary as the first chapter. We, the readers, already read the summary. We clicked on your story to read the STORY not the summary. If you don't have the story written yet, then why are you posting at all? 2. Reposting the summary at the beginning of the story. Once more, we already read your summary. You don't need to shove it in our faces so much that we can recite it! 3. Posting disclaimers. I can abide by this but it's still a little irksome to see. The fact you're writing FANfiction should be enough of a testament to the fact you don't own the story. 4. Posting character profiles. Listing all the details and tastes of your OC is tedious. As a reader, I would be more intrigued to discover the traits of your OC throughout the story rather than getting slapped in the face with it once I've read your bloody disclaimers and reposted story summary. 5. Asking for reviews or leniency because it's your first fic. As soon as you open your mouth to request reviews I feel more inclined to leave a rude or unfairly harsh one. The same goes for leniency (especially if it goes along the lines of 'My first fic Please don't hate :D'). While it is understandable that as a beginning writer you shouldn't be treated as an incompetent fool, that doesn't leave you exempted from criticism. |
