Author has written 17 stories for M*A*S*H, Lord of the Rings, and Star Trek: 2009. I read and write fan fiction for the fun of it, just to spend some more time with my favorite characters and to give my "working" mind a break. The MASH fics were my first foray into fanfic writing. I felt comfortable writing MASH fanfic, as numerous writers have contributed to the series, so it didn't feel quite so proprietary. I ordered the series DVDs, and enjoyed seeing the extra 2 minutes per episode of the uncut versions. I may eventually get back to writing more MASH fics someday, if I think I have anything new to add. Lately, the new Star Trek movie has grabbed me. I have loved these characters, and Spock in particular, ever since the original series came out. I've written some TOS and TNG in the past, but the new movie enticed me to come out and play again. I have completed two fics for the 2009 incarnation, and will probably post some more over the next few weeks. It's so fun to see these characters revived. May they never die! The bulk of my stories are Lord of the Rings. I have been a Tolkien admirer for over 30 years. After the movies came out, I started reading heavily in the Lord of the Rings fandom, and eventually became a full-fledged LOTR fic-writing maniac. Much of my work in this area (that is not posted on this site) is for adult audiences only, dealing with adult themes and behaviors. You can find my complete library listed by rating and subject in my Live Journal at http:///tools/memories.bml?user=mariole. Many stories are also archived on the West of the Moon website at http://-- the stories there include gen (general fiction and het) and slash, so pick your poison! What I have done so far has been loads of fun. There are some quite entertaining authors in the genre and on this website. To all of you I'd like to say, thank you for brightening my days. Cheers! |
