Author has written 4 stories for X-Men: Evolution, and Power Rangers.

I'm a 22-yr-old girl. I live in the USA with my bf and our 2 cats. I have a 7-yr-old little sister and 2 younger brothers. I love anime, comic books, horror movies, reading and writing.

It's been my dream to be a published novelist since the 4th grade and I've done everything could to learn about how to get published since then. The first author to ever inspire me was R.L. Stine. It was my dream to be a horror author as a child, but I didn't have the experience at that time to know how to write horror. I'm hoping that changes after I get my GED and am able to start taking Creative Fiction classes in college.

Currently, I write in the YA (Young Adult or Teen) genre and I consider drama to be my forte. I try to make my characters as realistic as possible and try not to base them too much off my own life experiences, although I do believe that the best stories come from our actual experiences and that the scariest stories are often times the ones that turn out to be true.

IMO, Stephen King is not "The Master of Horror". I believe that Thomas Harris (author of the Hannibal Lector series) is. His book Hannibal Rising gave me nightmares about cannibalism that I never imagined I could have and by the time I was half-way through the book, I found that I was so scared I couldn't even finish the book. Stephen King's work never even gave me nightmares, although it did me keep up night, so he is good. His work is scary, but Harris's is better, IMO.

People Who Inspire Me & My Favorite Work By Them --

R.L. Stine -- Night of the Living Dummy (1)

Stan Lee -- X-Men

Laurie Halse Anderson -- Winter Girls

Bob Kane -- Batman

Sara Shepard -- Pretty Little Liars series

J.K. Rowling -- Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

Stephanie Meyer -- New Moon

Neal Shusterman -- Unwind

Kevin Eastman & Peter Laird -- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Thomas Harris -- Silence of the Lambs

Stephen King -- The Shining

What Inspires You?

Everything. Books, music, comic books, TV shows, but above all I love hearing from the people who read my work and their reviews inspire me to write my greatest. Whenever I get a bad review, I can't help but feel like I've let down the people who read my work and who love to read it and I feel like I'm letting myself down. I have very high expectations of myself as a writer b/c this is something I've wanted to do since I was in the fourth grade and -- not to sound over-dramatic -- but writing is everything to me. I have worked so hard to be good at it since the fourth grade, I feel like its the only thing I'm good at anymore. So I expect myself to be good at it and when I find out that I wrote something that isn't very good or that didn't live up to my expectations or to a reader's expectations, I feel hurt and like I have betrayed myself.

So what really inspires me is the people who read my work b/c, in the end, I just want to hear them say that I did a good job.

What Are Fanfictions About, In Your Opinion?

To me its to staying true to the show, or book, or w/e and to stay true to the characters. This is mostly b/c I am just so sick of opening up an fanfiction and finding out that someone has completely altered a character's personality or powers just for their own personal gains and people do it all the time, like, "Oh, this is my fanfiction, so I can do w/e I want!" But they can't!

These are not their characters of their own creating. These are Stan Lee's, Avi Arad's, and Rick Ungar's characters and concepts or Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird's characters or Stephanie Meyer's characters and concepts, and, IMO, people need to accept that and learn to respect that. You can't just take someone else's character and alter them completely or, at least, you should not be able to. B/c writing a fanfiction means, to me, writing about something you love that someone you look up came up with and being true to WHAT that person came up with.

What Is Your Favorite Thing to Write About?

X-Men: Evolution. Or anything X-Men related, especially when it comes to Nightcrawler.

I've been watching X-Men: The Animated Series since I was four and X-Men: Evolution since I was ten, but I've never seen ALL the episodes in either series, although I have seen all the episodes in Wolverine and the X-Men and the entire first season of the X-Men anime. I even own all of the X-Men movies on DVD, including some special edition DVDs that only feature behind-the-scenes footage, which I went out of my way to get at a pawn shop. But, unfortunately, I'm actually not all that familiar with the comic books, which really sucks because I LOVE X-Men SO much and I own the Marvel Encyclopedia. However, I grew up in a really small town where comic books weren't popular and now that I'm on my own, living with my boyfriend, I have no way to get to a comic book store because we don't have a car and the nearest one is another town, like, forty-five minutes over.

Initially, I love all Marvel comics, but X-Men just speaks to me. I don't know why. I just love how its all about self-acceptance and loving people no matter how different they are from you and its just something that I really feel like I can relate to.

If you have any questions about me or my work, please feel free ask.

Thank you.

Next update coming after the completion of Flaming Ember.
