College student, part-time author, and general weirdo. I'm not mad, just charmingly eccentric. I also LOVE reviews: they brighten my day and give me the impetus to write faster. Feed the ficauthor? :D FUN FACTS ABOUT ALICE: (I'm sorry but these things just bug me when they show up. No offense meant if you've used something that goes against these in your fic, I probably loved it anyway.) -- The Queen had built her reign on Tea. From the sound of it, pretty much the only thing keeping her in charge was the fact that so many people were drinking Tea. The more Tea heads the better for her. It was legal. So, while Hatter does own a smuggling boat, it's doubtful that it was Tea he was smuggling. Food, books, people, medicine, machinery, goods from our world, and pretty much anything else you can think of that might be regulated and mismanaged might qualify, but somehow, I don't think Tea was it. -- There are two Alice books: Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, and Through the Looking Glass And What Alice Found There. For The Alice, the books take place six months apart, the first in May, the second in November. She is seven years old in both of them. -- The Red Queen and the Queen of Hearts are not the same person. The tend to be mushed together in many adaptions, but unlike with Hatter/Hatta and March Hare/Haigha, Carroll made a point of saying that they were not the same person and represented two different ends of the antagonistic spectrum, with the Queen of Hearts being all about unrestrained passion and the Red Queen being about strict control. -- He's not actually called the Mad Hatter in the books, not directly at least. The Cheshire Cat warns Alice that he's mad- and then goes on to reveal that everyone in Wonderland is mad, including the Cat and Alice, rendering calling him the Mad Hatter a bit redundant. While he's certainly got a flair for it, he's no more or less insane than anyone else in Wonderland. --According to Hatter is the surname of about 3,830 people in the US (45 of them go by David). So, while the name would be considered unusual, it wouldn't be so to the point where it would absolutely have to be changed. ABOUT THE STORIES: --Carol in Wonderland and Punchclock are on hold until the muses come back for more than three paragraphs at a time. :P --Down the Plot Hole is finished! Author's notes can be read here. --Poisoned Piece is finished! Author's notes can be read here. -- Through a Looking Glass, Darkly is finished. On my LiveJournal account, you can find art, a cast list, and author's notes. --UPCOMING: Stolen Tarts: The miniseries from Jack's POV. --UPCOMING: Shatters and Shards: The Primeval/Alice fusion, where Connor and Hatter are the same person as raised in different timelines, currently slated to be five parts long. I am sorry I'm not updating as frequently as I should be, but I'm trying to actually finish something before I post it. Also, schoolwork gets harder the more law classes you take.
