![]() Author has written 15 stories for Mysterious Benedict Society series, Harry Potter, Jumanji, His Dark Materials, Airborn, Series Of Unfortunate Events, Artemis Fowl, Skybreaker, Stardust, and Avatar: Last Airbender. “If your name becomes associated with vampire fanfiction, the ridicule factor is gonna be hard to beat.” name GreatKateZonkeyMachine, GKZM, Zonkey Machine, Zonkey age .0685484 Plutonian years gender XY mother country The Natural State Newsflash: Lost flash drive. Ergo, lost all writing. Will continue to fanfic. B[ I, being studious of brevity, am going to try and make this short. Once upon a time (that time being November 29, 2009), there was a twelve-year-old boy whose head was bare and full of air, dead flies and bits of fluff. He wanted to write fanfiction for the Mysterious Benedict Society series, and when he discovered Fanfiction.Net and its MBS archive, he decided to join the fun. Because he was a few tacos short of a fiesta platter, he named himself "GreatKateZonkeyMachine" (if you don’t get it, don’t ask). Today, I’m a much better writer and more mature than I was in my early days of FF. If you come across any old leavings of mine that seem obtuse/immature/obnoxious, all I ask is that you don’t think of my present-day self based on them. Reading and writing are things I enjoy, and fanfiction is great because it's non-profit: we write purely for the joy of writing, reading, and being read. Of course, 95% of fanfiction is crap...but you get the sentiment. OTHER STUFF I SHOULD PROBABLY TELL YOU I'll beta if you want, even though I don’t have a beta profile. My community is dead. If you ever come across a reference to somebody named "The-b00k-was-better" (or potentially "ButterBeerBoy"), it means me. I had…let’s call it an identity crisis. My avatar is the Avatar. This is a zonkey. This list is now bulleted because I just realized you can do that.IN MEMORIAM: Thalia Castellan, Mezzanote, Dove's Wing, AdorableElephant, Kahlan the Dream Spirit To clarify, these are merely the "original" MBS authors I knew who no longer use FF. I’m sure they are not actually dead. |
