So...where to begin? I probably fell in love with manga when I first started learning how to read, which was uh...3 or 4? I've often day dreamed about storylines, but have never felt compelled to write any of my own offshoots, until recently.

I have to credit my cousin for nudging me on to the fan fiction community. I was kind of behind in that arena. I knew the community existed (probably started with the whole doujinshi craze) but never explored it. I've also not read manga for a few years now - I have incredibly little personal time that it's really to her credit I'm even reading or writing ANYTHING manga-related at all. She told me about the fan fic she was writing - I promised to check it out - and I did. The rest is history.

So thanks lil' cous. You are a terrific writer who will just get better and better.

Although I'm pretty familiar with the different types of storylines out there in shoujo manga, I haven't been as entertained as I've been by Skip Beat! for a very long time. Thus the inspiration for "An Unexpected Gift." It's the first real piece of fiction I'm writing - the odd school assignment here or there were too few and far between - so please pardon the construction dust. It is always inevitably midnight or later when I write the new chapters, so I'm sure there are things here or there I can make better. Therefore, your reviews are always appreciated.
