Author has written 31 stories for Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman, and Rifleman. I live in Kentucky, I'm over 50, happily married with two grown sons, a stepdaughter, a stepson, four grandkids and 11 step grandkids. I've loved westerns all my life, grew up watching Bonanza (loved Little Joe!), The Rifleman (for which I've now written a fanfic), The Virginian, Rawhide, Wagon Train, then fell in love with Little House on the Prairie, and many more, plus a host of western movies. (although westerns aren't the only thing I watched...) I'd have to say my favorite movie is John Wayne's "Angel and the Bad Man". What a masterpiece. (All it takes is a good woman, right ladies??) So, when I heard in early '93 of a new western show about a woman doctor in the 1800's - starring Jane Seymour! - I knew before I even saw the pilot that I would love it. Well, that was an understatement! That show was so fantastic, in so many ways, words aren't enough to describe. The wholesome storylines were wonderful. The casting was great, the writing was superb, the sets and scenery were awesome - the costumes - marvelous! The dresses that Michaela wore in the Boston episode were so drop dead gorgeous, oh my! And Jane - I already loved her as an actress before that, but WOW, she's awesome. I love her hair!! The children were great, the town people, everyone! And then there's...Sully! Does that man have the most beautiful pair of blue eyes in the world, or what? Sully, masterfully brought to life by Joe Lando, was everything a woman could want in a mate. He not only looks gorgeous in anything from buckskins to tuxedos, and can hold his own among native Americans, outlaws, townspeople, the elite of Boston society, or even the President himself. He's strong, brave, wise, honest, kind, gentle, loving, romantic, sensual - and he doesn't cuss, smoke, or drink! He's a one-woman man through and through, and as he himself said, he would give his life for the woman he loved. He captivated my emotions and imagination from the first throw of his tomahawk. When CBS rudely and abruptly canceled the show, I was heartsick. I signed petitions, I complained, I wrote letters to the studio, I got on forums, I wrote letters to the editor - everything I could think of, to no avail of course (because we all know now - one man with undeserved power can sure ruin a good thing just because he CAN). I can't begin to tell you how thrilled I was when this show came out on DVD. To be able to watch any episode, anytime I want (with no commercials!) is a dream come true. In 2009 I stumbled upon something I'd never heard of before - fanfiction. I couldn't believe the plethora of wonderfully written stories there were honoring my favorite show. Fanfiction keeps the show 'alive' and fresh (though in reality, DQ was so well done, the episodes so well written and acted, it never actually gets 'old'). After reading hundreds of stories, one day the plot for one popped in my head and I decided to try my hand at writing. Thus, 'The Twin' was born. Now after dozens of short stories and 4 novels, I'm in the process of writing a novel I plan to publish, based on my parents' romance in 1937. I'm still going to keep my hand in DQ though, with the occasional short story or missing enthusiasm piece. UPDATE!!! MY NOVEL IS FINISHED AND ON SALE! The titles are "Her Blue-Eyed Sergeant", "Her Blue-Eyed Corporal", and "Her Blue-Eyed Lieutenant". (And yes, the fact that they are all blue-eyed is part of the mystery plot). This series is also available on Amazon. UPDATE! I have an author website, check it out. LindaEllenBooks .weebly. com I'm now in the process of writing the first of a new series based in 1870.
