![]() Author has written 12 stories for NCIS, and Kuroshitsuji. I've not updated my profile in a while (read: not ever), and since things have changed a fair bit since I started on this site, I think I ought to. So, I still write mostly for NCIS at this point, but I also do a lot of joint work with Residentpyromaniac and Star The Foxhound both on stories and on forums, and my joint work is never NCIS, but rather Harry Potter, Gettysburg, Kuroshitsuji, and a few others in the works that I won't tell about just yet. It should be noted that while my NCIS fics are extremely serious and occasionally disturbing or adult, my joint work tends to be so far crack that my sanity has been questioned on many fronts. (On this topic, I'd just like to point out that my partner in crime has named herself RESIDENTPYROMANIAC. That should tell you something about sanity levels in the vicinity.) Also, I know that I've lost many faithful readers due to my inability to keep my stories updated in a timely fashion. I've even gotten more than one personal message asking me to resume a story because it's been abandoned for a while. I'd just like to explain that at any given moment, I am working on at least thirty different stories, some for a meme I follow, some for fanfiction.net, and some for personal reasons, and often times I reject these stories as unsuitable before they ever reach their destinations. I can understand that this isn't very comforting, especially to those who read the stories that I posted before realizing that I could go no further with them. But I'm sorry to say that many of my stories are likely to remain unfinished, especially the earlier ones, for the simple reason that my writing style is no longer suitable to them. Others may take a long time to finish because, while I may know where they're going, I have no bloody clue how to get there. I do intend to go through my older stories as well as my new ones over the next few months and post an update explaining which currently at a standstill and which I have plans to continue. I apologize in advance to anyone who loses a story due to this. That said, between now and then, and even after, I welcome any and all readers who have ideas as to where my stories should go to write me and tell me so. If it's a story I was previously lost on, your contribution may revive my plot bunnies and your story may be brought back to the forefront. Thanks to all who have reviewed and commented, and I hope you'll stick with me through this. Finally, I've made a reputation for myself as being a writer who can take any kind of critique, but I also tend to treat other writers the same way, so I may seem like a harsh reviewer. Rest assured, that if I do happen to comment on your story, it is because I enjoyed it enough to want to keep reading. If I critique your stories, it's because some part of it (ie: grammar mistakes, logic flaws, punctuation or spelling errors) is preventing me from enjoying your story despite it's excellent plot line. I only comment in the hopes that these kinks might be worked out so that I can go back and read the story without hindrance. Whether I comment this way on your stories or not, feel free to do so on mine, and if you don't appreciate my comments, feel free to send me back an angry message that says so, and I won't offer any more critiques. Thanks for bearing with me! Sincerely ~KatelynGibbs |
