I hope that in this year to come, you make mistakes. Because if you are making mistakes, then you are making new things, trying new things, learning, living, pushing yourself, changing yourself, changing your world. You're doing things you've never done before, and more importantly, you're Doing Something. Don't freeze, don't stop, don't worry, that it isn't good enough, or it isn't perfect, whatever it is: art, or love, or work, or family or life. Whatever it is you're scared of doing, Do it. Make your mistakes, next year and forever.

I have immense respect for so many talented fanfic writers in the Being Human fandom and count myself lucky to consider some of them friends. They have made me laugh, cry, lose sleep, and tremble in awe.

I never thought I could call myself a writer, as my passions usually lie in playing with fabric, paper, and photoshop. But after watching a scene in s5e4, I took out a notebook and started scribbling. Within 2 days I had 13 pages. In one week I had 30 pages. I was encouraged by other Being Human fanfic writers to go for it. I have been having so much fun. Add writing to my addictions list.
