![]() Author has written 17 stories for Elder Scroll series, and Arthur C. Clarke. http:///Cyrodiil.html http:/// My writer's profile: I like Lovecraft, Poe, Wilde, Pratchett and Greek mythology, and am always willing to try new authors and mythologies. I was a lurker on this site for years until I got bitten by the bug. About my fiction: I write mostly Elder Scrolls fanfiction, and mostly Oblivion at that. I originally wanted to write Oblivion fanfiction with a Lovecraftian influence, but most recently I have been stylistically influenced by Henry James as well. I love the masses of lore in the Elder Scrolls world- its complex, ambiguous, variegated mythologies, histories and cultural flavors are a very rich mine. In my fanfics I aim to synthesize and add to existing lore, as well as create new characters, places and story arcs; I won't slavishly follow the main storyline or the guild ones, though they may have different amounts of influence in the fic. Skyrim added so much lore to the Elder Scrolls universe; I love the lore for dragons, vampires, necromancers etc, and will definitely use it, even in stories originally based on Oblivion. I want my fanfics to be anchored in lore; whether lifted, synthesized or partially invented. The latter is possible only because Elder Scrolls lore is so rich that like Lovecraftian fiction it allows for both pastiche as well as a world wide and stable enough to bear original additions. While I will be a dding a bit of lore to canon, this is also a good place to add a disclaimer: I did not create or own any part of the Elder Scrolls games; I simply use their wold as my canvas and their lore as inspiration. 10/1/13 Belated Merry Christmases and Happy New Years all around. My resolutions include not breaking resolutions to finish my fanfics after a couple of updates! I have revised chapters of Necromancy 101 up to chapter 3. I have uploaded the revised chapters 1 and 2 again. Revised chapters will have titles in the name. I have finished chapter 17 as well, and will upload it with the revised chapter 4. There is currently some inconsistency between the revised chapter 2 and the current unrevised chapter 3, and that will be fixed shortly. |
