This is exactly why the only Warden I've had who hasn't romanced Alistair and either kept him as a warden or become his queen, sacrificed herself to the Archdemon. Too. Many. Feels.

Oh. Just... oh. I'm breaking up inside. This is so heartwrenchingly sad. You've captured the reality of politics so well, but also the pain of what that means for so many other people. The second person voice makes this immersive and even more emotional. The idea of what could have been is always emotional, but the way you've presented it here is all the more intense. Very, very well done.

This was just so beautiful. I had a sudden image of the Warden in Amaranthine raising the child while still being a bad ass Commanders. In comes Alistair visiting. She's hiding the kid but Alistair still catches a glance and knows the kid is his. I keep imagining the confrontation.

Nopenopenope, I cannot handle this. This is why I make Alistair remain as unhardened and a Grey Warden because to me, that's the happiest outcome (screw Ferelden, Anora is more than capable as a ruler).

This was a beautiful little oneshot that pretty much tore my heart out which is a good thing, haha!

I cry. Like, literally, this is flipping sad. How Alistair really changed from a gentle, funny Warden to a whole new person...a harsh king. And how the F!Warden is his mistress for a time, and how everything is different. Brings tears to my eyes.
Especially since freaking Anora has to be pregnant. Ugh, I hate her.
But then there's Ali-boo-bear, being all good and kind and standing by her. No!

That was agonisingly beautiful, at the end of it the tragedy of it all just hits you. And i think the ambiguity of the Warden adds to it; you can imagine her as you wish, whether it be your own PC or not. Thank you for this gorgeous piece of writing, it is utterly fantastic.
