![]() Author has written 4 stories for Harry Potter. Hello people who have clicked on my pen name! You probabably just want to look at what stories I have written or possibly check for updates, but on the off chance that you might be interested, I've decided to add a little information about myself. Follow me on twitter @prongs_potterHP (twitter.com/prongs_potterHP) and I'll keep you updated on what I'm doing in the world of Harry Potter fan fiction. Name: Dr. Sheep (I was born prongs_potter, but as I couldn't use that name on here, I was forced to change it by deed poll) Sex: Male Age: 20 (though this tends to change every twelve months or so) From: Nottingham, England (you may notice that I've crowbarred my home city into my stories, but it is vaguely feasible that Dumbledore and Grindelwald might have battled for the last time in Nottingham, so I stand by it. JK herself actually mentions the city; in Ootp, Bill says that in the last war, Death Eaters killed a goblin there). Occupation: University student. Favourite HP character: Probably Sirius, although admittedly that's more to do with what other fan fiction authors have him made into rather than how JK portrayed him. Favourite genre: Action/Adventure and humour, though I like to see a bit of everything thrown in to the mix. Favourite pairings: HP/GW, RW/HG, JP/LE. I know it's pretty boring, but I think those are the characters that suit each other most, although I will read stories that pair Harry with Hermione or Tonks Least favourite pairings: Anything that pairs the trio, Ginny, the marauders or Lily with Snape or Malfoy; even if they did fight for the light, they're still gits. Favourite era: Either the Marauders' era or Harry's at Hogwarts. I don't really like anything post Harry at Hogwarts; all the good characters are dead. Before you read the next bit, I'd like to say that I, of course, admire JK greatly for her work and love the canon HP stories, but there are some things that seem a bit odd to me. Conversations with canon Harry: Dr. Sheep: So Harry, what are you going to do now that you know that you’re the only one who can defeat Voldemort? Harry: What do you mean? Dr. Sheep: Well, are you going to train really hard over the summer and into the school year? You know, read up on advanced magic, find a way to practice it, maybe have some Aurors or teachers teach you what they know about duelling and how to survive? Harry: No. Dr. Sheep: Well are you going to continue and expand the DA so that the students can defend themselves? Harry: No. Dr. Sheep: Oh. Well are you going to at least try harder in lessons? Harry: No I thought I’d do nothing, continue doing mediocre in lessons and hope that the fact that I can love will kill Voldemort. Dr. Sheep: I see. So, bearing in mind that the prophecy says that you have to kill Voldemort, what spell are you planning on using in the final duel? Harry: Probably expelliarmus. Dr. Sheep: Oh...well good luck with that. Conversation 2: Dr. Sheep: So Harry, what are you going to name your second child? Harry: I thought Albus, after Dumbledore. Dr. Sheep: Fair enough Harry: And, as a middle name, Severus, after Snape. Dr. Sheep: After Snape? Harry: Yes Dr. Sheep: Snape, as in the man who sold out your parents to be murdered by a dark lord? Harry: That’s him Dr. Sheep: Snape, the man who was a Death Eater for years, presumably torturing and murdering many innocent men, women and children and only turned to the light when he accidentally sold out the one person he supposedly cared for? Harry: Exactly Dr. Sheep: The man, who, despite apparently repenting his sins, for which he was never punished, made the lives of children a living hell in his potions classes? Who taunted and mocked the son of the woman he supposedly loved, i.e. you, about his dead parents, whose murders he was responsible for? The man who forced Remus Lupin to retire from the one job he ever liked? The man who bullied students and showed blatant favouritism to his own house? Despite the fact that thousands of people, who never were Death Eaters and never did anything I’ve just listed, died in the war, you’re going to name your son after this man? Harry: Yes. What’s your point? Dr. Sheep: Nothing, nice name. Harry: Thanks. 18/06/10: Chapter 19 of Elixir a Lumina is now over half complete and now I'm back in the flow of writing it shouldn't take too long to finish. It will probably be called 'Of The Battle of Hogwarts, Snape and The end of the Second War' and will be the last proper chapter, with only an epilogue to come after that. As I have already told everyone who has read my stories on HPFF, after I've finished Elixir, and possibly before that, I'll start to post my next story, which I've just started writing. Called 'Fifteen months', it follows James Potter and the other marauders in the fifteen months between Harry's birth and halloween 1981, chronicling their adventures at the height of the first war. It's going to be a deep and, at times, dark story but with plenty humour as well as we see the marauders having fun and raising Harry while fighting an ever harder war and trying to deal with the suspicion and anxiety that has arisen within the group. Update: As you can see, I've started Fifteen Months and the first chapter is up. I'm probably going to wait until I've finished writing Elixir to write any more but, as the last proper chapter is on its way and the epilogue is short and easy to write, that shouldn't be too long. Well, that's enough from me, please do read and review my stories; constructive criticism is welcome and glowing praise is even more so. |
