This was my cat, Poe. My mom found him wandering around in our yard with a broken leg when I was six. He was a good cat; he was there for me during some of the best and worst moments of my life, so you can imagine how much it tore me apart to discover he'd died twelve years after we'd adopted him...while I was on vacation with my family. However, Poe had been suffering for several months before he died of what we believe was cancer, so at the very least, I'm glad his suffering is finally over.

Origin of pen name: My older sister actually started calling me "The Flock of Seagulls" when I was ten after an incident with a seagull trying to fly into my curly hair. I think she subconsciously named me after the 80s band "A Flock of Seagulls" but she firmly denies this, saying I'm The Flock so I'm better. Somehow she and my cousin shortened it to "Flock o' Seagulls" and that became the way I was introduced to all of my sister's friends. When I was twelve and I got into typing fan fiction for my best friend (mystess on this site), I started signing the stories "Flock o' Seagulls" and it stuck with me. My sister was so proud when she watched me sign in once and saw what my user name is.

I absolutely love yaoi! I got into it thanks to a manga called Aoi House. There are a few hetero pairings I still like, but for the most part give me yaoi and I'll be incredibly happy.

I've more or less given up hope on ever writing any of the fics I talked about before. I have plenty of ideas, sure: a couple of Zelda fics, one based on Majora's Mask, and another on the weird idea I got from watching too much Doctor Who. I've gotten into Pokémon and come up with several ideas for that (all of them yaoi), as well as South Park (ditto on the 100% fun times with yaoi part). The problem is writing something and not getting stuck or hating it later...
