I lived in London during the 1980s, so Ashes' London is the one I remember. The world of fanfic was a revelation when I fell across it in April 2008, but since I started writing these stories for a giggle, the support, encouragement, inspiration and help I've had is better than an MA in creative writing. A little nest of awards from TRA is a wonderful testament to the value of that 'MA'. I'm intensely grateful for that boost to my confidence and writing skills.

It wouldn't have happened without the kindness and encouragement of the early reviewers – I was very nervous about posting the first story and almost as nervous about every story thereafter. You reviewers have no idea what a difference you make...

However... I love writing for these kind of characters and in this period of British history. (NB it's not history to me, it's yesterday...) So would you be interested in short stories and novels in the same style as the fics here, but original characters in original stories, sold on the big river (the one beginning with A) online bookstore, for instance?
