Welcome to my profile! My penname is Shining Swordsman or SS for short. I first discovered fanfiction.net when I was on some random message board and a like just brought me here. I decided to check this website out and now I'm as addicted to this site as I am to Myspace. Although reading isn't quite my idea of fun, I love to read all of these fanfics about my favorite anime/game characters. So, after checking through a whole bunch of awesome stories, I decided to become one of these writers and try it out for myself.

Here's where I'll discuss all the things relating to fanfiction. It can go from favorite pairings, to stories, to likes/dislikes, and maybe a rant or two...

Favorite Pairings

NarutoxSakura (Makes the most sense to me and is the best one I read. They just seem to go together.)
BulmaxVegeta (I love this pairing almost to the point to where I get mad when no one updates or post new stories or chapters. Great pairing)
GohanxVidel (Ah, young love is really romantic. Too bad few people write good fics about these two or update way to slowly, but a great pairing still)
SoraxKairi (I've only read the ones set in High School. For some reason, the adventure ones just don't cut it for me. The high school fics are the only type of story for this pairing that I can actually get into. Great pairing though.)

Pairings I'll tolerate, but won't put my main focus on: NejixTenten, ShikamaruxTemari/Ino, InoxSai/Chouji, SasukexHinata/OC, HinataxKiba/anyone not Naruto or Neji, RikuxNamine/Selphie/Yuffie/OC, RoxasxNamine, CloudxAeris(th)/Tifa, LeonxAeris(th)

Fanfiction Stories

Genres I read: Romance, Adventure, Angst, Drama, Suspense, or a combination of these.

I like stories that have a good format. I can't stand to read a whole bunch of words cramped up into a paragraph. It's so hard to read and isn't very appealing when I first take a look at it. The stories have to have at least an understandable sentence flow and structure because it is so hard to read fragments or getting confused because of a sudden switch without any indication of some sort. It's got to have some type of organized structure. Grammar and spelling isn't much of a big thing for me, as long as there is a few of them. If it's all throughout the fanfic, I won't bother to read it. Spellcheck was invented for this type of thing.

I'll only read a story if it has acceptable: sentence structure, sentence flow, organization, formatting, spelling, grammar, and well thought out ideas that the author puts in

Rant on Reviews: I love reviews. Every review for any chapters or stories I post is precious to me and I am very thankful for them. Sometimes though, people tend to favorite or alert my stories without leaving a review. Not that I don't appreciate it, but even the tiniest review can make me become more motivated to write a story. Every author wants that assurance that people like their stories, and the only way to do that is by the reviews. Trust me, the more reviews an author's story gets, the more motivated they'll become to update a story.
