![]() Author has written 15 stories for Kingdom Hearts, Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch, and Final Fantasy XIII. “Music is the power that drives my imagination.” -Jazlynn. Well, I finally decided to change this thing up after the longest time. Yeah… anyways… I! AM! CANADIAN! ANYWAYS… let me get straight to the point. My name is Lynn and I am the daughter of the big shot who created the Blackberry and is the founder of RIM: Jim Balsillie. Okay, I lied. That’s not true. I’m just a poor poverish teenager who works part time in a bakery. Anyways, my name is Katie and I wish that my name was Lynn because that name is just so full of win. I am an avid writer, singer, and sleeper. Yes, I love my sleep. I’ve been lacking in the sleep department lately and it really sucks. As far as my writing goes, you can check out some of my stuff below. I think it’s pretty awesome. But I suppose that’s a biased opinion, isn’t it? Okay, yes, I know it is. But I know I can brag about my choir! Or, at least, I could when I was in choir. I was in my communities most prestigious choir. Which is a high school choir. WE WERE AMAZING! So amazing, in fact, that we were asked to perform at this big Gala that took place on the 24th of April, 2009. We performed for the Canadian soldiers returning from Afghanistan and, get this, Prince Andrew. Yeah, you heard me. My choir performed for royalty. Aren’t convinced about our amazingness? Check us out on YouTube. O Magnum Mysterium: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Buo6tyQqBWI&feature=related Now, I suppose I should say more about myself since this is supposed to be a biography… Well, let’s see… I think Newfoundland is the greatest thing. I’m an Ontarian but, damn, you’ve gotta love those Newfies. Especially those guys in that one band… you know, Great Big Sea? That’s my favourite band, by the way. : ) Oh yes, I like folk-rock. And pretty much anything else aside from Country and Rap. My current asperations are to become an author through a story I've begun writing, get lots of money and move to Hawaii so that I can fulfill my dream of learning to surf. My life will be grand, I tell you. : ) Oh, and as of March 14th, 2009… I am officially a fan of Video Games Live. My choir was asked to sing during that but my teacher decided to turn it down. Gey, I tell you. Gey. And yes, that is ‘gey’, not ‘gay’. I don’t want to offend and I don’t mean happy. Yup. Guess what. I hate yaoi. I think it’s disgusting and wrong on so many levels. Don’t expect me to read those kind of stories. Again, guess what. I like Kingdom Hearts. You know what I love even more than Kingdom Hearts? Pink haired assassins named Marluxia. Damn straight. He is my favourite KH character and that is not about to change. He is just sheer awesomeness. Because. There is no other way to show complete and total manliness than through pink hair. That’s right. And – Oh, look! – lists of all my favourite things! Yeah, you can have a look-see. :3 M y . F a v o u r i t e . B o y s ! -Marluxia (KH: CoM) M y . F a v o u r i t e . S t o r i e s ! -Lighthouse (Next chapter in progress) (On Hold) Despite the fact that I finished writing my last Mermaid Melody fanfic for a while, my unfinished stories are still currently on hold. I've come to the decision that if I'm going to write, I need to write things I can actually make money off of. So, I have begun the long, treacherous, but also fun journey of writing a novel. If Stephenie Meyer can do it then so can I. During this time, I might post a few things here and there such as small one-shots or chapters that are slow to update. Just keep an eye out. And now for something completely different! I’m gonna review my own stories and leave my little comments on them. Yeah, that’s right. So, here’s what I have to say about MY stories. Lighthouse: This story started on some strange whim. I wanted to write something cool about Organization XIII and then it started to sound like a documentary, so… I turned it into something a bit more casual. I wanted the story to actually GO somewhere so, I came up with this concept of one the members of the organization meeting up with this really awesome girl …who really wants nothing to do with him because she’s dealing with a lot of shit in her life. Not your typical Boy-Meets-Girl story, eh? (By the way, I actually got to visit the place where this story takes place! How awesome is that?) Equilibrium: I am in love with this idea. I really want to follow through with it as soon as I finish more writing. I have such great plans for this story and, it’s just gonna be awesome when I get around to writing more. :3 It Started With Lilacs: My first MMPPP story! I absolutely love this piece of writing. It’s just so dark and enticing and… it was a lot of fun to write. I also got one of my best reviews for this story. You should check out that amazingly monstrous review! To Race the Northern Winds: Well, I’ll be honest with you, this isn’t my favourite story in the world. It’s like the New Moon of my mini-trilogy. It’s mainly filler stuff for the next story. It’s still alright, though. Divine Expectations: This is what I was building up to ever since Lilacs. I spent a lot of time on this and I’m glad with how it turned out. I’ll admit, I thought the ending was a bit cheesy, but it’s adorable and awesome. :3 He Gave Me Blue Roses: I. Love. Felix. He is, by far, one of the best characters I have ever created and the only cliché thing about him is that he is a vampire. Believe me, if I could change that, I would. Unfortunately, his being a vampire is kind of a small plot point for the Lilacs series. I also loved writing as Noel in this story. I found it very easy to relate to her character which allowed me to write her to the best of my abilities (I’m an Indigo Mermaid too, by the way!). If anything, this story has shown how much my writing has grown. It is also a breaking point for how in depth I go with my characters. A character’s mind is one of the most interesting things to get in to. Certainty of Death: Best description EVER. ‘Nuff said. From the Lips of a Rose: Eeeh, this was for a challenge and I never really followed through. Maybe I’ll continue with this, I dunno. I’m not feeling the inspiration right now. It’ll be good if I write any more. xD Death’s Little Bird: I loved writing this. It was so different from anything I’d written previously and it turned out to be amazing. I really think I did Marluxia’s Somebody justice in writing this, I really do. And yes, I made different allusions to members of Organization XIII. Can you find them all? e l e v a t o r: My first Xiluxia story! This was my first time playing around with Xion’s character and placing her with a character I’ve already toyed with made this quite interesting to write. I was quite pleased with how the final product turned out – especially since this story was written late, late at night. It Never Occurred to Her: My second Xiluxia story. I decided I wanted to play around with parallelism and see if I could make something work. Don’t know how well that turned out, but the story, I thought, was pretty good. Unrequited Moonlight: This is the shortest story I’ve ever written. However. What with how the story was going, I knew it wasn’t allowed to be a long one. Turns out, I ended up writing a vignette which I’m pretty happy about. Not bad for the first fusion of my two passions, eh? O f . L i a m ’ s . a n d . L u m a r i a ’ s . . . |
