Author has written 16 stories for Wrestling, Power Rangers, X-Files, Law and Order: CI, and Pride and Prejudice. I started into Fanfiction when I was about fourteen when my friend got me into Xfiles Fanfiction. I've been writing on and off for thirteen years but I've never taken a creative writing class, though I really want to. When I first started writing, I had an idea for a XF fanfic that no one had written, and I really wanted to just read it. So, to get it out, I decided I'd just write it myself, even if no one ever saw it. I told myself "Okay, this is obviously going to be bad but I have to get this idea out of my head before I go crazy." So I did. Then of course later I got another idea and it went on from there. So now the main problem I have is that I start to think of other people reading what I'm writing and I give myself writers block because I don't think it's good enough. In some ways I wrote better when I first started because, like I said, I just didn't care how bad I wrote I just wanted to express this idea in my head. So anyway- if there are any of you out there who love to read fanfiction but don't think you can write good enough to do it, think again. Just write it down and keep writing, you don't have to let anyone else read it. And that's my worldly advice :) Right now I'm doing my best to finish Pemberley Waters because, not only do I know there are a lot of people waiting for it, but I want to finish it as well. |
