![]() Author has written 12 stories for Harry Potter, Buffy X-overs, Buffy: The Vampire Slayer, Teen Titans, Teen Wolf, and X-Men. Why hello there! My name's LJL and I've been a member of this site for what you might call a while. My membership actually celebrated its fifteenth birthday earlier this year. Once it gets old enough to vote I figure I'll be in trouble. I've had original fiction published in a couple of magazines. I write for pretty much everything - fun, philosophy, social action, emotional distress. Sometimes all four, those stories get pretty wacky. Aside from being an ardent student of writing and literature, I'm an enormous fanboy, a somewhat terrifying history buff, and a complete detail freak. Seriously, I've counted the number of periods in an entire chapter of Faulkner just because I was curious. It's difficult to name all of the things I have fan-crushes on, so I'm not even going to try. UPDATE 10/8/15: Well, shit. I've got good news and I've got bad news. The good news is that I got into graduate school. The bad news is that I got into graduate school. I love grad school. It's showing me ways to pursue my own writing that I'd never thought of. Seriously, I feel like I'm getting better on a near-daily basis. It's pretty awesome. On the other hand, being in graduate school is a ton of work, and most of that work is writing. Which means that when I have free time, I don't feel like spending it writing. Especially not fanfiction which, while fun, doesn't help with any of my personal/professional goals. So, it is with a somewhat weary heart that I must announce that I'm officially going on hiatus. Maybe this won't last the semester. Maybe it'll only last the two years I'll be in this program. Or maybe it'll be permanent, since, hopefully, I'll still be immersed in the writing community after graduate school. I just don't know. I haven't fully given up on all of my projects on here, but I also recognize the possibility that this could be it. Thanks to everyone's who has read/reviewed over the years. It's been one hell of a wild ride. |
