In the year 1915, the infamous painter Beca Mitchell is commisioned by one of the richest men in America to capture the essence of his wife, Chloe Beale.

A cliche typical college 'popular pretty sweet redhead meets a snarky aloof cold-hearted brunette' that starts with a simple crush, little meaningful looks here & there and with a little twist of things eventually they fall deep in love but things, or basically the universe, tries to get in the way of that, however, love always wins, the end... is not what this story is about.

Chloe dishes herself out some of the pasta, being sure to save a good amount for Beca. She chases it around her plate with her fork, suddenly not feeling particularly hungry. She finds herself glancing out the window at their empty driveway with increasing frequency. Beca really should have been home by now.

Beca's car breaks down on the freeway. Luckily, a local mechanic can give her a ride.
