![]() Author has written 27 stories for House, M.D.. I've always enjoyed creative writing, but I've been away from it for many years. As a matter of fact, when I last wrote, we actually wrote--pen to paper. Pressing little buttons is so much nicer. However, a few of the fanfics on the site impressed me so much that recently I've been inspired to give it another try. I'm fascinated with the psychology behind friendships, and with all things medical (I'm a retired Peds RN), and House, MD plays quite well to both those fascinations. The boring stuff: I'm 50, mom to an awesome twelve year old boy. I retired early because I have CP. My right side is affected, the sequelae have resulted in chronic pain and a horrendous limp, and I must frequently utilize a cane. Virtually the only TV show I watch that isn't a news program is House, but there's no psychology there, eh? . :-) By the way, due to ongoing problems adjusting my pain meds (which result in concentration difficulties and other fun things like that), I am unable to beta other writers. These problems can be so tiresome that they sometimes interfere with my own writing--it just wouldn't be fair to inflict my erratic abilities on others! BLANKET DISCLAIMER: I stake no claim to any of the amazing House, M.D. characters, and I'm sorry for borrowing them without permission. But I promise I'll put them back neatly when I'm done with them. 10.21.08update: A new triptych, Selling It, Buying It, and Deciphering It and also two one-shots, Past Imperfect-Present Tense and And So It Goes posted this month. |
