![]() Author has written 9 stories for Captain America, Star Wars, Guardians of the Galaxy, Teen Titans, Game of Thrones, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, and Avengers. Hi, I'm a recently-graduated college student, finally about to become a productive member of society! That being said, I use cheesy titles. I'm wacky with a sense of humor that I occasionally try to slip into my chapters. I hope to make you smile or capture your attention for a few hours, but if my writing isn't your style, no sweat! This is a hobby, a side project where I blab about random things that catch my attention when vaguely thinking about certain fandoms. This isn't a job or a large part of my life; I don't do much fact-checking and I won't always remember things I've already written before. That being said... feel free to throw me a line if you see wrong information in a story, information being repeated, or 'who the heck is this? Like, you never mentioned this person before.' Oh... Did you come here to learn about me as a person...? Oh, okay. I played Quidditch in college (Yes, it's an actual sport. Buncha' nerds running around an open field, holding sticks between our legs and tossing balls. Check it out on YouTube - we even have a World Cup). Um... My voice embarrasses me; my accent, combined with the odd pitch I have, gives people a pause. I'm still stuck in the 'boys have cooties' stage. Let's see... Bacon is life. I microwave chocolate chips with a dab of butter to make them get that crunchy 'burned chocolate' taste. My secret ingredient in pretty much anything is honey. I don't know what else you'd like to know... ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*I LOVE THE WORLD*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Tip to all Fanfiction readers: Sometimes, you just have to write the fic. you want to read. Seriously. Go forth and write your heart out. I only type for early in the morning, from around 2 to 4, during infrequent bouts of insomnia while eating highly sugary foods. It probably shows, too... Fanfiction.net = Fan fiction. = Fan. Fiction. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*I LOVE THIS WORLD*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Random Grammar Tips for Writers (A.K.A. Stuff that Annoys Me and/or Trips Me Up): Your: You own it Its: Possessive - belongs to 'it' Who: Identifying pronoun for a person Their: It belongs to them Nauseous: Has the ability to induce nausea (ex. That meat loaf is nauseous) Nauseated: When you feel ill/disgusted (ex. I was nauseated by the meat loaf.) Farther: used for physical distance Weary: tired Lose: lost your way, lose a bet, etc. 'Anxious' is a fear. If you are 'anxious' to see your friends, that is a bad thing and means you're not looking forward to it. 'Alot' is not a word. Neither is 'impactful.' 'Broadcasted' isn't either, but it's becoming more common and accepted. In speech (At least, in the U.S.): Put commas and periods inside the quotation marks. Colons and semicolons are placed outside. As for what to use? I'm bad at explaining, but this is my best shot: Commas in Speech: If you put a variation of 'said' (ex. replied, answered, muttered, etc.) you generally have a comma. Ex: I said, "No, sorry." To make sure, remove the speech (quotation marks and everything inside them) and look at what is left - both 'I said' and 'she said' would be sentence fragments, not full sentences, so a comma is needed. Periods in Speech: The silence was broken. "Um, okay." That said, she looked away. Both sentences, before and after the speech, are full sentences and the quotation is part of neither. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*I LOVE MY WORLD*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ UPDATES: If I ever make a promise that I'm going to update something soon, don't take it seriously. Like I said before—not a job, just a pastime, I write spasdorically—this is not a big piece of my life. Just give some credit to my stubborness—I'm too mulish to leave something unfinished. I'll get there eventually. (Plus, isn't time relative or something?) 6/7/2020 Update: Theoretically, how would you guys feel about me starting yet another fic that I will doggedly manage to finish within the next decade? |
