"Come on! Come on! Comeon! Mmmhumm!" Twilight Sparkle hopped from leg to leg in exasperation. She bumped through tables as she searched again and again through drawers nearly knocking a small table to the floor.

"How can I be completely out of quills?" the violet unicorn shouted.

Spike ventured out from the upstairs wanting to help, but quickly retreated seeing the disaster unfold. He certainty didn't have any quills in his possession... he'd just have to wait for the storm to pass.

"I can't run to the store!" Twilight explained to no one in particular. "I'll have to talk to a million ponies! And my entire idea will be gone!" She began pacing, muttering to herself about how to improve the efficiencies of anemometers, and the velocities of wind currents in autumn.

"Ah," she gritted her teeth and burst outside, not entirely sure if she would go to the store or not.

"Whoa! Twilight!" Rainbow Dash swopped down to her from a nearby cloud. "I think you need to calm down!"

"No! Rainbow! I can't! I'll! Forget!" Twilight began to shift from hoof to hoof again.

"What? Forget what?" Rainbow Dash began to circle her from the ground, clearly enjoying herself.

"Don't! Distract! I'll forget my plans to incorporate—incorporate— gravity? No, air-resistance? Ah! I need a quill! I'm out of quills!"

"Relax, egg head!" Rainbow Dash chuckled. "So you don't want to be distracted?"

"Rainbow Dash! That is not funny! Water resisting in the air! No!"

"So... you wouldn't want me to do this?" Dash began to trace her forelock over Twilight's neck in a sweeping caress.

"I... no. I..." Twilight half shouted half whispered as the sweet scent of Rainbow Dash's mane infiltrated her senses.

"And it would probably distract you if I did this?" Rainbow Dash began to kiss behind Twilight's ears. They twitched and the skin tinkled as soon as the pegasus's lips had left. Dash left a trail of kisses to her cheeks and finally down to her neck.

"Probably distract..." the violet unicorn echoed.

Rainbow Dash rubbed a hoof back and forth tenderly between Twilight's eyes, watching with lust as the unicorn's eyes glazed over in a deep relaxation.

"And... I'd distract the hell out of you if I was to..." Finally Rainbow Dash delicately placed her lips on Twilight's. The unicorn responded momentarily, but Rainbow Dash pulled away all too soon. There was a pop of lips, and Twilight's half closed eyes showed a longing confusion.

"Well! If you need a quill!" Rainbow Dash said loudly as to break Twilight from her new trance. The cyan pegasuses pulled out a feather from her wing with her teeth and offered it to Twilight. The latter just stared dumbfound.

"Isn't that what you needed?" Dash ventured.

"What? Yes!" She took the quill enthusiastically. "I was going to test how the velocity of wind currents might affect the accuracy of the anemometer!"

As soon as she saw Twilight had what she needed, Rainbow Dash soared back into the sky.

Twilight rushed inside, her new quill at hoof... she had to jot things down quickly before thoughts of what just happened took over.
