A/N Here's the last chapter, sorry that it took so long. Also, thanks to everyone who has read, reviewed, followed and favorited either this story or myself. I appreciate all of your comments.

MOVING NEAR ME

"You know I have to leave," Andrew, call me Drew, Harrison said as he leaned down to kiss Lisa. "And I want you to come with me," he then tenderly whispered.

Lisa's heart lept wildly at these words because she knew without a doubt that she loved Drew Harrison. More than she had loved Tommy, more than she had loved Cruz Rivera, the rogue agent that Drew had saved her from; more than anyone she'd ever known. To spend the rest of her life with Drew would be beyond a dream come true. But then the realization hit her, if she left with Drew, then she would also have to leave behind her job and the people she considered her family; Tommy, Tibbs, McGregor and Amy Sutton. She had given up everything from her past to make a place with these people, forging a family in the process. Now it looked as though she'd have to give up one thing more.

She leaned into Drew's chest, tears starting to pour from her eyes. "I can't," she murmured, barely audible.

"I figured you'd say that," he said in his broad Midwestern twang.

"Then why did you ask?" Lisa wondered, still crying.

"Because while I figured that you'd say no, I hoped you'd say yes," he replied, tears were forming in his eye now.

"Will I ever see you again?" she asked.

"No tellin'," he replied. "I just go where they send me." Here he pulled back so that he could see her face, "No matter what, I'll never forget you." He then pulled her close in a tight hug, the kind that seemed to never end and you never wanted them to.

"You have to go," she finally said. He never spoke but just let her go and nodded. Then he kick started his Harley Soft Tail and without a backward glance, tore out of the parking lot. Lisa didn't imagine that she'd ever see Drew Harrison again and she cried a bit longer for that loss. Then she turned and headed back inside, she needed to be with her family again.

The End

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

The paperback was flung across the room. "I'm gonna kill him," a gruff voice muttered.

The voice's owner was distracted from his homicidal contemplations when a very feminine hand snaked its way across his chest and came to rest in the vicinity of his right shoulder. "Would you settle for 'We' are going to kill him?"

"Fine Ziva," Xander said in mock exasperation, "we are gonna kill him."

"That's good," she sighed. "I have many different techniques that I'd like to give a practical workout but I've just never had the chance." She lay there quietly for a moment a slightly psychotic smile on her face and then raised her head to regard Xander. "Out of curiosity, why do you want to kill McGee?"

"Well first of all, he made the Lisa character a bed hopper. I mean Tommy and then Cruz and then Drew. He based that character on you and then this book makes you sound like a slut. What was worse, though; was he turned you into some hapless Damsel in Distress. Something you most certainly are not."

Ziva smiled and snuggled into Xander's side. She agreed that those were excellent reasons for killing McGee and Xander was racking up all sorts of boyfriend points for being upset by the portrayal.

"And finally, because he made me out to be some kind of crazed Rambo, but with only half the brain cells of the original." Xander really was kind of ticked off that his character was some sort of kill crazy buffoon.

"I agree, those are all excellent reasons for killing McGee," she said finally. Ziva raised herself up as the sheet slid down her body, "and now that you've gotten that out of your system, can we please go to the beach."

Xander turned his head and looked out the window to see the waves breaking on the North Shore of Oahu. He was here for the two weeks that he had negotiated with Giles for and Ziva had come with him. So far they were one week into their stay and neither of them had yet to wear much in the way of clothing. He turned back to face Ziva, his arm circling her waist and pulling her close. "You're sure you want to get out of bed?" he asked.

"You do have an excellent point," she said as she leaned down and kissed Xander deeply. "But, yes, I am sure," she said laughing; then she leapt out of bed and scampered off to find her bathing suit.

With a groan, Xander pulled himself out of bed and followed her.

They tried surfing once they finally left the house and it turned out to be something that they were both pretty decent at. Despite the loss of his eye, Xander still remembered his old skateboarding days and was now much more in tune with his body so staying up on the board was pretty easy. As for Ziva, her innate grace and body control made it easy for her as well. At the end of the day, they went back to the house to get ready for dinner. Ziva was in the shower and Xander was very tempted to join her but he noticed that the light on the answering machine was flashing. It was a message from Giles. Xander listened to it, not entirely believing what he was hearing. After the message ended, he stood in the middle of the room thinking for a moment and then just smiled and headed for the shower; he needed to help Ziva with those hard to reach places.

They had taken a while in the shower and consequently had almost missed their reservations. They were eating at a place with the hokey name of "B's Bar and Grinds" but the food was extraordinary. He was wearing a dazzling Hawaiian shirt and Ziva was wearing a sun dress made from the same fabric; a joke present from Buffy that both of them loved. They were talking about their surfing experience and debating the sanity of trying some of the harder breaks and whether or not it would be worth it to buy their own boards. Finally there was a lull in the conversation and Xander figured that this was the best time for his news. "Giles left a message today," he said casually.

"You don't have to leave early do you?" Ziva wondered.

"Nah, he wanted to let me know that I've been reassigned."

"To where?" Ziva wanted to know, her voice now low and dangerous.

"Well, it seems as though Willow needs a hand with Conclave, she's too much velvet glove and not enough iron fist; so Giles wants me back in DC after we leave here;" he finished with a grin. "I'll be handling that as well as teaching the new Investigations unit of the Council."

Ziva David was stunned. She literally could not believe what she'd just been told. Then the reality of the situation sank in and she could feel something building in her, something she hadn't felt in years. She tried to fight it, but there was just no denying what was going on. And then it happened. In the middle of a posh restaurant in one of the most romantic places in the world, in front of God, man and everyone; inscrutable, unflappable Ziva David squealed like a little girl from shear happiness. She nearly upset the table flinging herself across to hug Xander. She would be with her team and the man she loved; as far as she was concerned there was no better news in the world.

As for Xander, who was in the middle of a python-like hug; he was thinking that if this was her reaction to the news that he'd be living in DC, how would she react to the ring that he was going to offer her when they got back to the house?
