Author's Note: I am unsure whether any of these will become an actual fic, but I do hope you enjoy these snippets for what they are—an inner glimpse into parts of my headcanon.

002: Couple

"And who is this?" Leila's tone was slightly accusatory. "She yours?"

D's voice was toneless as he replied, merely stating fact. "No, I am hers."

003: Cry

D didn't cry, but when he partook of her blood in a rare loss of control, Doris could tell he wanted to as he clung to her.

004: Laugh

It wasn't often D made her laugh, but when she coyly asked if he liked spiders, D's curt and immediate "no" made it bubble out of her throat.

005: Anger

Doris had seen what D had done to the heads of men who had dared try and poison her.

006: Control

As much as Doris told him that she wouldn't break, D still handled her like glass in bed.

012: Red

D never seemed to mind when she met up with him in the Frontier saloon covered in werewolf entrails.

014: White

While Doris did not have any plans to marry, but she couldn't help but flush when D offhandedly mentioned that she'd look good in white while observing a Frontier wedding.

023: Drunk

D thought she had overreacted when Doris had flayed the skin off a drunk man for insulting D's heritage.

024: Wine

D preferred to quietly watch Doris drink the wine he had bought on his travels rather than partake of it himself.

037: Tree

Doris has fond memories of their first time, particularly the abrading on her back where she was held firm against the bark of a tree.

056: Friends

D seemed pleased when Doris and Tae hit it off on their first meeting.

058: Lovers

When they were alone, D would curl her fingers with his for the briefest of seconds in a rare display of affection.

062: Rain

When she saw him returning down the main road, Doris threw herself at him despite the heavy rain outside.

063: Heat

While she was sure D didn't feel cold the same way humans did, Doris liked to think that he appreciated her body heat anyways.

066: Necklace

Doris could not understand D's slight shock when she sold her mother's necklace at the market for provisions without the slightest thought.

067: Ring

Doris sometimes marveled that D's own rings fitted her fingers.

069: Earring

Doris always did wonder who had pierced D's ears...until he told her he had done it himself.

076: Death

D had once apologized for numbing her to death on their travels. She merely replied she'd been numbed to it long before he had come along.

080: Curse

When Doris miscarried, D remained eerily silent other than the words, "Such is the curse of taking a dhampir for a lover."
