A/N: Yes, it has been an extreeeeemely long time since I posted anything to this, and that's because I'm done with this story. No, I didn't finish it and I'm not going to. But this is what I had written of this chapter, and I'm posting it half-done because I don't want to work on it or worry about it anymore. So it's CANCELLED. But you may still enjoy this sliver of a chapter. However, it is the last. Thank you for your time, and I'm sorry I couldn't give you a better reward for it.

The plane ride back to America had been painless, filled with 'ooh's and 'ah's from the herd of children who had never before seen the world from above. The car ride to Bakura Manor was also an eye-opening experience for these underprivileged Egyptian tomb-keepers. But the most thrilling part of the whole journey was when the three of them got out of the vehicle and took in the first home they'd ever know.

Bakura Manor was a three-story estate set on 15 acres. The front lawn was the biggest field of grass the Egyptians had ever seen. That is, until they laid eyes on the backyard, which hosted a beautiful garden in full bloom.

"May I give you a tour?" Bakura offered, holding out his arm to the young Marik, who gladly took it. "I'd give you the whole history of the place, but I think Father would prefer to do that after he finishes that stack of post-business trip errands he must attend to first. What I really want is to show you something that I don't want the rest of our family to know about."

"I can keep a secret," Marik grinned, happy to be trusted in such a way.

"Good. This wing of the mansion is where our bedrooms are located. Yours will be next to mine, at the end of the hall, while your brother and sister will each have their own room closer to the start." Bakura lead him all the way down the red velvet-carpeted hallway and into the second to last room on the left side. "This is your bedroom. It's not anywhere near ready yet, but I assure you we'll get it done as soon as possible. My room is the last room. Since it is ready, I'll probably be sharing it with you and your siblings until the other rooms are prepared."

Marik scrutinized every surface. Cobwebs littered the dusty walls and corners of the ceiling. The electrics were patchy, but the window on the back wall was enormous, complete with a cushioned daybed along the seal. Of course, it would need vacuuming, but Marik already knew we would love it. "This is really spectacular. I can see the sky from my own room! It's beautiful, Bakura!" He turned and embraced the Brit in a heartfelt, full-frontal hug.

Bakura smiled, but the hug didn't last long, and when Marik pulled away, he resumed his usual indifference. Bakura walked over to the wall separating their two rooms. "This is what I really wanted to show you, what our secret is." He pushed on a seemingly-ordinary spot on the wall, and a hidden panel fell inward. He slid it open, revealing the entrance to other room. "This is a secret door connecting your room to mine. If you ever need to tell me something, but don't want to go out into the hall, you can use this."

"When can I use it?"

"Anytime. But knock first – just in case I'm naked."

Marik giggled. "Okay. I'll remember that. And you can do the same with me, anytime you want to talk."
