I ran into Annabeth one night in the kitchen.

"Dish duty?" she asked knowingly.

I nodded. "You?"

She looked down, embarrassed, and nodded the slightest bit.

"Wait, really? You too?"

She nodded again.

"Gods, Annabeth! What'd you do?"

She huffed. "I didn't do anything bad!"

I raised my eyebrows at her.

"Ok…Well I…I kind of…I pulled a little prank of my own on those irritating Stoll brothers. How bout you? What's your excuse for being here, Seaweed Brain?"

"I um, I…ah…Well let's just say that you might not want to go into the Ares cabin any time soon…"

Annabeth snorted. "Like I would ever go in there in the first place. Well what'd you do?"

I looked away.

"Was it really that bad?" Annabeth asked.

"What can I say? Clarisse was being a pain in the ass."

She laughed then threw something at me.

"Hey!"

"They're gloves, Seaweed Brain!"

"I don't NEED gloves."

"Unless you want your hands melted by the lava…"

I quickly put on the gloves.

Lesson #1: When Annabeth tells you to do something, do it.

By the time we finished with the dishes, it was dark and almost curfew. I left my gloves on the counter near Annabeth's, and we walked out together, dead tired.

The stars were out and Annabeth pointed at a bright one. "You know, that right there actually isn't a star. It's Jupiter."

"No it's not. Jupiter is too far from the Earth to be seen without a telescope." I told her.

"No, Seaweed Brain! That's Jupiter! Right there! See?"

"It's not!"

"Yes it is!"

She glared at me, and I shrugged. "Sure, whatever"

The next morning, I went to the Big House and looked it up online.

"Jupiter: largest planet in our solar system. Fifth planet from the Sun. Often visible from Earth."

Lesson #2: Annabeth is always right.

I know the Author's Notes are usually bold, but for this story, I'm using bold for the lessons. So, this is something that I just came up with now!
