With the swipe of his sword, Imperialdramon Paladin Mode vanquished Armageddonmon. After sealing the beast for good, everyone went calmed down to reflect at what just happened. Now more than ever people are becoming more aware of digimon. He didn't want to think about it. People knew they exist, but what about those who hold fear in their hearts. Koushirou 'Izzy' Izumi quickly shook his head as he leaned back from the computer chair. That can wait. He watched the bearer of hope and light smile at sunrise. He realized it was morning and they barely slept all night. Who would of thought this would had been an all nighter. He was just glad it was over.
He felt someone tap on his shoulder and turned his head slightly to notice a feminine face looking back at him. He muttered. "Yes?"
"Wanna grab some breakfast?" She smiled sweetly. How could he refuse?
-Local Odaiba coffee shop-
Izzy dunk a donut in his coffee and took a bite out of it. Mimi sipped some herbal tea and sat it back down. The teenage boy noticed she seemed more lively. "Aren't you tired?"
"I slept on the way here."
He mentally punched himself. "Of course."
"Say…. Koushirou."
He blinked. That was new, all his friends hardly ever called him by his first name. "Yes?"
"That was close huh?"
"Definitely. It wasn't on par from his previous appearance. At least he didn't launch a nuclear missile."
"That scared me when I heard a missile landed here. I was afraid for you guys."
He remembered that day, every ounce of his being told him to run. Run far from the missile. Run so far that he would be somewhere in the Australia. He didn't run, he would risk his life to save the world and everyone in it.
"I… I wasn't afraid." He spoke triumphantly.
Mimi formed a sly smile. "Oh? Would you run out and punch the missile."
"Tai would. I would try to use telepathy."
They laughed for a bit before resuming their discussion.
"Seriously, this made me think," Mimi stared at her tea. "What would happened if he won. We would never sit her talking. Everyone would either be dead or a slave. It's depressing to think about."
"Then don't."
"I don't think about it. I'm glad we made it through this and I came down with a decision."
"Yeah?"
"I'm moving back here."
"What? Really? Don't you like it in New York?"
The female chosen nodded. "Yes I do. It's fun and people are nice… sometimes. Everyone there made me feel at home. Unfortunately I feel homesick. I miss you guys. So as soon as I go back I'm going to talk to mama and papa about this. I know they may not agree, but I can figure something out."
"That is great."
"Yeah, I don't have to use to plane or the digital world to see you guys. I'll be back in Odaiba and attending the same school here."
"Yeah, if you do come back. We will both be in the same grade. We might have the same classes."
Mimi smiled. "Yeah, I can't wait. I bet you are the teacher's pet."
"Nope, I am member of the computer club."
"Really? Neato."
"Neato? Who says neato?"
"Prodigious…." She muttered teasingly.
He coughed uncomfortably. "Yeah um… sa-."
"MIMI!"
The two of them turned around and found Sora and Miyako entering the coffee shop. Miyako waved. "Hey, you two! Mimi, you promised we hang out in the mall."
Izzy corked a brow. "Aren't you tired."
Sora rolled her eyes. "3 cans of red bull and 2 pepsi cans."
"SO COME ON!" She ran over and grabbed the girl like a wild hyena. As she was dragged away Mimi turned back at him and winked. "It was fun Kou, let's talk again okay?"
"Roger." He replied
With that she was gone. The teenager got up, put threw the garbage away and walked the path toward his apartment where he would sleep. Along the way he whistled happily.
