John made his way to Natalie Gordon's house. He felt something in his gut. He knew Monica was in trouble, it was a thing they shared. John searched the house but didn't find her.

"Monica! Monica!" John shouted.

He reached Natalie's bedroom and froze. A large webbed sack covered the entire wall. He ran to her.

"Holy mother... Monica, hold on! Can you hear me? Monica, can you breathe? Monica, talk to me," John panicked.

John tore in to the webbed sack thinking she might not be able to breathe through the webbing. His heart was racing. He was hoping she was okay. Layer upon layer, he ripped away the webbing. It seemed like hours, but it had only been a few minutes.

When he pulled all of the webbing away, Monica's body fell forward. He caught her and lay her on the ground.

John shook her shoulders gently.

"Monica?" He asked.

She didn't move. She lay lifeless, with her eyes closed. John put a hand through his hair, trying to remember his first aid training.

He checked for a pulse at her neck. He sighed relieved, that she had one. He put his thumb and index finger on her chin and his other hand on her forehead. He tilted her head backwards.

John put his ear to Monica's mouth and looked towards her chest. He couldn't feel anything or see her chest move. He didn't hesitate at all. This was the woman he loved. He pinched her nose and knelt down giving her a breath.

Wow! Her lips are so soft...

Her chest rose and fell. John waited a second and gave another breath. There was no movement from Monica.

"Come on Monica! Breathe!" He urged.

John continued mouth to mouth. Remembering Scully had said 10 breaths a minute, if the casualty wasn't breathing. Minutes passed and Monica suddenly gasped. John smiled and helped her in to a sitting position.

"You scared the crap out of me, Mon," John told her.

"What happened?" Monica asked confused.

"You were in that web," John said pointing to the wall. "I got you out of it and you weren't breathing. I had to revive you. I'm so glad your okay,".

Monica smiled and hugged John. She felt safe in his embrace and didn't want to let go. She couldn't believe John had saved her. He was her hero.

"Thank you for saving my life John. But next time..." She started.

"Yes?" He asked.

"Make sure I'm conscious when you do mouth to mouth," Monica smiled.

John nodded and before he could reply, her lips were on his in a passionate kiss.
