GEO 2: SUN, LIGHT, AND ICE
At the Oliver residence, Jenny was cooking breakfast while Tommy was watching TV. Jenny had been taking home-economics classes and had come to love cooking, so much so, that she had gotten a set of her own cookware for Christmas. A knock on the door brought Tommy to his feet. He opened it to see Kat standing at the door. After a quick kiss, Tommy said, "Good morning. And Happy New Year."
"Happy New Year to you, too," responded Kat with a smile as she stepped inside.
Seeing Kat come inside, Jenny called out from the kitchen, "Hey, Kat."
"Hi, Jenny," greeted Kat. Taking a whiff, she said, "Smells good. How much longer?"
"Not long," answered Jenny. "Oh, how do you want your eggs?"
"Scrambled, please," answered Kat as she joined her boyfriend on the couch. With Jenny still cooking, Kat asked Tommy, "Have you met your new neighbors yet? I noticed that the For Sale sign was no longer up across the street."
"We haven't been outside yet," answered Tommy. "I just hope whoever moved in isn't bothered by the monster attacks."
After breakfast, Tommy, Kat, and Jenny stepped outside and noticed the moving truck in the driveway across the street. The truck soon left and the threesome decided to meet the newcomers. As they approached, they noticed a young man about Tommy and Kat's age shooting hoops. Suddenly, a grey and white bulldog ran up towards the fence, barking at the strangers. This got the young man's attention as he ran up to the dog. "Wonder! Wonder! Leave them alone!" The dog looked up at his owner and obeyed, but not before growling once more at the three visitors. Smiling, the young man said, "Sorry. Wonder's a little protective of me. Once he gets to know you, he'll come around. You guys must be our new neighbors. I'm…"
"Marvin Rabbitt?" asked Tommy in surprise. "From MW2?"
"You got it," answered Marvin with a smile.
Before Marvin could say any more, a voice cried out, "Marvin!" The source of the voice stepped out, a young woman about the same age as Marvin. As she approached, she stopped what she was about to say when she noticed that they had visitors. Smiling, she said, "Hey, you must be our new neighbors. I'm…"
"Wendy Cash, we know," answered Jenny with a smile. "So, what brings you to Monster Central?"
"Monster Central?" asked Wendy in confusion. It soon dawned on her, though. "Oh, yeah, this place is home to the Power Rangers, isn't it?"
As their three visitors nodded in confirmation, Marvin asked, "You guys wouldn't by chance have ever seen them in action, have you?"
"Only on TV," answered Tommy. "People are usually encouraged to stay indoors or underground during the attacks. Thankfully, the city has suffered less since they joined the Justice League."
"That is so cool," said Wendy enthusiastically. "I wonder if we'll ever get to see them in person?"
"You never know," answered Jenny with a shrug. "Oh, by the way, I'm Jenny Oliver. This is my brother Tommy, and his girlfriend Katherine Hillard. I figured Tommy would be the one to introduce us, but his faulty memory is legendary around here." Clearly, she was teasing her brother.
Rolling his eyes, Tommy said, "Hey, I would have gotten to it, eventually, baby sister." He now had a smirk on his face.
"Don't call me your baby sister!" yelled Jenny, startling Wendy and Marvin.
Kat, however, just laughed and said, "Don't worry, you get used to that with these two."
Smiling, Wendy said, "I love your accent. What part of Australia are you from?"
"Surry Hills," answered Kat, causing Wendy to nod.
Finally remembering why she was out there, Wendy said, "Oh, Marvin, our moms want your help with the furniture. Sorry to cut our visit short, but we're still getting our new house organized."
"That's okay, we'll stop by later," said Tommy with a nod. "Is that okay?"
"That'd be fine," answered Marvin. "Oh, and since we're neighbors now, do you think you could show us around town?"
"I don't see why not," answered Kat. "We could introduce you to our friends as well."
"We'd appreciate that," said Wendy. "It's been nice meeting you, but we've got some work to do." Turning to Marvin, she emphasized, "Now." The way she said it indicated that this wasn't up for discussion.
Groaning, Marvin said, "I hate exerting energy." The twosome then went back inside.
At the Watchtower, Alpha and Martian Manhunter were on monitor duty. "All clear so far," said J'onn.
"Ay, yi, yi," said Alpha. "It's not often we get peace and quiet for this long." Just then, the Watchtower started shaking. "Ay, yi, yi, yi, yi! I think I spoke too soon!"
His eyes glowing, J'onn said, "It's okay, Alpha. Our visitor means us no harm."
Zordon materialized in his tube as said visitor made their presence known. "DIMITRIA," said Zordon. "IT IS GOOD TO SEE YOU AGAIN. WHAT BRINGS YOU BACK HERE?"
"Unfortunately, I do not bring good news," answered Dimitria. "Some of the galaxy's vilest creatures believe they have discovered the final three Elemental Stones. I had been certain they were lost forever."
"Three more?" asked Martian Manhunter. "What are they?"
"I believe it would be best if I explained to the rest of the Justice League. The Geo Rangers especially need to hear this, as this will affect them most of all."
"WE WILL SUMMON THEM IMMEDIATELY," said Zordon. J'onn and Alpha went to the communication consoles.
At the mall, Tommy, Kat, and Jenny met up with some of their friends. Needless to say, they were surprised and excited to hear who their new neighbors were. "You guys are so lucky," pouted Karen. "But, on the other hand, I can't wait to go shopping with Wendy some time. Maybe I can pick up some fashion tips."
Smiling, Kimberly said, "I like the way you think." However, the Morphin and Geo Rangers' communicators sounded. "I knew this day was going too well."
"Good luck, guys," said Jason before sharing a quick kiss with Al.
Once everyone gathered at the Watchtower, it was down to business. "Dimitria, it's good to see you again," said Tommy.
"Unfortunately, Tommy, this is not a friendly visit," said Dimitria. "We must act quickly, because we must find the final three Elemental Stones before the forces of evil do."
"Wait, there are three more?" asked Mark in surprise. "I thought ours were the only five in existence!"
"As did I," admitted Dimitria. "The other three stones are the Yellow Solar Stone, the White Ice Stone, and the Gold Light Stone. They were created at the same time as the other stones, but have been lost for thousands of years. If the information stolen from Inquiris is to be believed, the Solar Stone is embedded in Mt. Chimborazo in Equador, the highest point on your planet. The Ice Stone is somewhere in Antarctica. And the Light Stone is believed to be hidden among the Callanish Standing Stones in Scotland."
"Assuming these three stones exist, do you have any idea who their chosen bearers may be?" asked Green Lantern.
"I do," answered Dimitria. "Therefore, some of you will need to remain behind to try and ensure their safety. In fact, Thomas, Jennifer, and Katherine met two of them just this morning."
The three Rangers' eyes widened. "No way," gasped Jenny. "Wendy and Marvin?"
"YES," answered Zordon. "THEREFORE, YOU MUST KEEP AN EYE ON THEM, BUT TRY NOT TO RAISE SUSPICION." Tommy, Kat, and Jenny nodded.
"Are you sure it's wise to entrust this kind of power to people like them?" asked Batman. "The fact that they have achieved a great deal of fame will make it difficult for them to keep their identities a secret."
"Your concerns are valid, Batman," admitted Dimitria. "However, only the chosen bearers can wield the stones' power. No one else." Batman just narrowed his eyes. He understood what Dimitria was saying, but he still didn't like it.
"So, who's the last one?" asked Brendan.
"Someone your cousin knows quite well," answered Dimitria as she looked at Cody.
Cody looked confused at first. However, it didn't take long for it to dawn on him. "No way. Emily?"
"THAT IS CORRECT," confirmed Zordon. "YOU MUST PROTECT HER UNTIL THIS MISSION IS OVER."
Superman then spoke up. "Tommy, Jenny, Cody, I think it would be best if the three of you got back. The rest of us should be able to handle the search." Tommy, Jenny, and Cody nodded before teleporting back to Earth.
Once the three Rangers in question were gone, Dimitria said, "Geo Rangers, at least one of you will need to go to each location as you search for the stones. Your own stones will enable you to feel the presence of the others directly."
Superman turned to the others and said, "We'll need to split up. Brendan, Karen, Aisha, you three are with Flash and myself at Mt. Chimborazo."
Wonder Woman continued, "Green Lantern and I will take Mark, Trini, and Adam to Antarctica."
Isis added, "And I'll take Black Canary, Al, Kat, and Rocky to Scotland."
Martian Manhunter said, "Billy, Batman, and myself will remain on stand-by in case anyone needs back-up."
"In the meantime, we'll monitor Wendy, Marvin, and Emily in case anyone tries to jump them," finished Billy.
"Good luck, everyone," said Batman. "We've got no time to lose."
"It's Morphin Time!" cried Trini.
"PTERODACTYL!"
"TYRANNOSAURUS!"
"MASTODON!"
"SABER-TOOTHED TIGER!"
"PYRAMIDAS!"
Al then commanded, "Geo Rangers, Unite!"
"POWER OF WIND!"
"POWER OF EARTH!"
"POWER OF WATER!"
"POWER OF FIRE!" Everyone was then teleported to their respective destinations.
Superman and his team arrived at Mt. Chimborazo. While Mt. Everest may be the tallest mountain in the world by height above sea level (29,029 ft), the peak of Mt. Chimborazo (20,548 ft above sea level) is the farthest point from the Earth's center, thanks to its location along the equatorial bulge. Immediately, Brendan and Karen could feel the pull of the Yellow Solar Stone. "I can feel the stone's presence already," said the Green Earth Ranger. "It's faint, but I have a feeling it's probably closer to the top."
"I just hope we'll be able to breathe up there," said Karen, worried that being on the summit would affect their ability to breathe.
"According to Zordon, you, Brendan, and Aisha should be fine, thanks to your helmets," said Flash. "Big Blue can hold his breath if he needs to, as for me, I brought along a little air can just in case."
"Alright, let's get moving," said Superman. "Karen, Brendan, I'll fly you two up to the summit. Flash, you take Aisha." As they headed for the summit, little did they realize they were being watched.
Once they got to the top, Karen said, "Wow! The stone's presence is even stronger now!"
"Yeah, I can feel it, too," agreed Brendan.
"Alright then," said Aisha. "Now, let's find it and get out of here."
"That won't be necessary," said a female voice. Everyone turned to see Mongal, along with Bizarro and Kalibak. Mongal smiled wickedly and continued, "That Elemental Stone is coming with us. Won't my dear brother be embarrassed when he learns I did what he couldn't do?"
"Fat chance, fat girl," retorted the Yellow Ranger. "The Yellow Solar Stone belongs to us, and no one else." She, Karen, and Brendan got into fighting stances.
"We'll see about that," said Kalibak, Beta Club at the ready. "You puny Rangers are no match for us."
"Me take care of Superman," said Bizarro before charging, the Man of Steel meeting him head-on.
As the two powerhouses duked it out, Mongal and Kalibak charged Flash and the three Rangers. Flash dashed at Kalibak, hitting him with two quick punches. Brendan then leapt and struck him in the chest with his Earth Axe, leaving a large gash in his chest. This enraged Kalibak, who blasted the Green Earth Ranger, causing him intense pain. Flash then connected with a super-speed uppercut, knocking him flat on his back. He then sped over to Brendan. "Hey, you okay?"
"Yeah," answered a recovering Brendan. "But I've never felt pain like that before. Look out!" Seeing Kalibak charging, Brendan quickly manipulated the ground, launching Kalibak up and over.
Meanwhile, Aisha and Karen took on Mongal. She swung her fists at both Rangers, but she was too slow. However, the two girls quickly realized that their punches and kicks seemed to have little effect on her. "This is bad, Aisha," said the Pink Wind Ranger. "It's like we're just tickling her."
"Then let's take it up a notch," said the Yellow Morphin Ranger. They then summoned their weapons. Karen fired compressed air bolts at Mongal, causing her to stumble back. Aisha then slashed her in the chest with her daggers, leaving deep, but non-fatal cuts. Mongal swung her fist at her foe, but the Yellow Ranger was able to flip back out of harm's way. She and Karen then leapt and connected with simultaneous flying kicks, sending Mongal over the edge and tumbling down the mountain. "That won't keep her down long," said Aisha. "But at least we bought ourselves some time. Let's go help the others."
"Right," agreed Karen with a nod as the two girls went to help against Kalibak.
Flash charged towards Kalibak, but Kalibak fired his Beta Club at the ground, tripping up Flash and sending him toppling over. But before Kalibak could move in for the kill, Aisha jumped and threw her Power Daggers, knocking his Beta Club out of his hand. Karen jumped and fired her Wind Bow, taking him down to one knee. Brendan charged and slammed him across the jaw with the butt of his axe, causing him to stumble back. Finally, Flash got back to his feet and finished the job with another super-speed uppercut, taking him out of the fight. Rubbing his fist, Flash said, "Man, hitting this guy's jaw is like punching a brick wall."
Superman and Bizarro continued to slug it out, neither able to gain an advantage over the other. Finally, they both let loose with their heat vision. After several intense moments, Superman's heat vision finally overpowered Bizarro's, sending the beams back to its source and taking him out of the fight. As Mongal and Kalibak recovered, the heroes approached them. "Had enough?" asked Superman.
"You win this round, Justice Leaguers," said Mongal. "But mark my words, someday, some way, I'll see you all perish!" As Mongal picked up Bizarro, Kalibak opened a boom tube and the three villains retreated.
Karen breathed a sigh of relief and said, "I'm glad that's over. Now, to find the stone." As they walked along the top of the mountain, Karen and Brendan's stones guided them to the center. "It feels like it's emanating from here," she said as she pointed at the ground.
"Are you sure?" asked Flash as he scratched his temple. "Because I don't see anything."
"Positive," insisted Brendan. "This is the spot."
Scanning the spot with his x-ray vision, Superman said, "They're right, Flash. It's right here." He then punched the ground and pulled a yellow stone out.
"That's it!" exclaimed Aisha. She then spoke into her communicator, "Alpha, we've got the stone. We're ready to teleport."
"And make it snappy," said Flash. "The elevation is finally starting to get to me."
"Teleporting to Watchtower, now," came Alpha's voice. Within moments, the heroes were gone from the mountaintop.
At the Oliver residence, Tommy and Jenny were inside, taking periodic peeks out the window to make sure Wendy and Marvin were okay. Right now, they were shooting hoops and didn't seem to notice their neighbors watching them. "Are they okay?" asked Tommy as his sister took a peek.
"So far, so good," answered Jenny. "They're playing basketball right now." She then chuckled as she added, "Wendy's killing Marvin." This caused Tommy to chuckle, too.
Marvin then made a spectacular, off-balance shot. As he celebrated in a silly manner, the two siblings just laughed.
Meanwhile, Cody had taken Emily to the movies. Upon paying for their tickets, popcorn, and drinks, Emily went to the Coca-Cola freestyle machine, while Cody went to the butter dispenser. "What do you want to drink, Cody?" asked Emily.
Thinking it over, Cody answered, "Um, Cherry Vanilla Coke will do." Emily nodded and filled Cody's drink before getting some Sprite for herself. The two then got their tickets checked before heading for the auditorium. Cody silently hoped that no creeps would try and make a move on Emily while they were watching the movie.
Wonder Woman's team arrived in Antarctica. Mark said, "I can feel the Ice Stone's presence already. It's faint, but it seems to be coming from that direction." His Geo Cycle appeared, along with Adam and Trini's Shark Cycles.
"I hope our bikes can handle the terrain," said the Gold Ranger.
"Don't worry," reassured Adam. "They've been modified for all-terrain. This will be the first real test."
"Let's go, then," said Green Lantern. "The sooner we find that stone, the better."
As they traversed the icy continent, Mark said, "We're getting closer. I can feel it." Suddenly, the heroes were stopped as the three Rangers cycles were blasted! As the Rangers went flying, Wonder Woman snatched Mark out of the air while Green Lantern created a mattress to cushion Adam and Trini's falls.
"Everyone okay?" asked Wonder Woman.
"I think so," answered Trini.
"Not for long," said Deviot as he, Zeltrax, and Giganta made their presence known. "I'm sorry, but I don't believe we've ever met. I am Deviot. I had been fighting the Galaxy Rangers for some time, until an accident with Trakeena nearly destroyed me. Fortunately, a bounty hunter found my remains and restored me. In return, well, let's just say you won't be hearing from him for a very long time." He then laughed as the heroes realized he had killed the bounty hunter. "When I heard about the possibility of three Elemental Stones hidden on this planet, it was easy to enlist the services of my two companions here."
"What good are the Elemental Stones to someone like you?" asked the Black Ranger.
"They're power will enable us to exact our revenge," answered Zeltrax. "Revenge for myself against the Dino Thunder Rangers."
"Revenge for me against you, Wonder Woman, for all the times you've humiliated me and put me behind bars," continued Giganta.
"And my own revenge against the Galaxy Rangers," finished Deviot. "With Trakeena gone, and the Rangers now powerless and settled on Mirinoi, now is the perfect time to strike back at them."
"Sorry, not going to happen," said Trini defiantly as she, Adam, and Mark got into fighting stances.
"Aw, too bad," said Giganta in a sickly sweet tone. "I was hoping we could do this the easy way." As she grew to maximum height, she continued, "But the hard way is just fine with me."
Turning to the Rangers, Wonder Woman whispered, "Mark, help me with Giganta. The rest of you take the others." Green Lantern, Trini, and Adam met the charge of Deviot and Zeltrax while Wonder Woman flew towards Giganta as Mark summoned his zord.
Zeltrax dueled with Trini and Adam, countering every move of the two Rangers with his sword. After striking them both away, he fired energy from his hand, forcing them to roll out of harm's way. Adam quickly got to his feet, leaped into the air, and struck Zeltrax' sword with his Power Axe, knocking it out of his hands. Trini then leaped and struck him in the chest with her Gold Power Staff. The Black Morphin Ranger began, "Ready."
"Aim," continued the Gold Morphin Ranger
"Fire!" cried both Rangers as they fired their weapons, sending Zeltrax flying.
Wonder Woman flew towards Giganta and struck her in the face as hard as she could. Giganta responded by swatting her foe away like a fly, forcing the Blue Geozord to catch her. "Are you okay, Wonder Woman?" asked Mark.
"I'm fine," answered Wonder Woman with a frown. "But she won't be. Keep her busy." She then flew out of the zord's hand.
The Blue Geozord began engaging with Giganta, landing two hard punches. Giganta responded with two of her own. The Blue Geozord then grabbed the gigantic woman, attempting to hold her in place. This allowed Wonder Woman to fly around and wrap her lasso around her enemy. She then began pulling, trying to topple Giganta. As Giganta struggled to stay on her feet, Diana cried out, "Hera, give me STRENGTH!" One more yank, and Giganta was face-first on the icy terrain and out of the fight.
From his cockpit, the Blue Water Ranger asked, "Wonder Woman, I don't mean to sound like a pervert or anything, but don't you ever get cold in that outfit?"
"I'm just warming up," answered Diana with a smile.
Deviot charged Green Lantern, only to be met with a ring-generated fist. "You'll have to do better than, Deviot."
"Oh, I will," responded Deviot as he hit some buttons on his wrist gauntlet. He then fired his lasers at full power, but Hal put up a shield that blocked them. Seeing his effort hadn't worked, Deviot cried, "Curse that power ring!"
Smirking, Green Lantern taunted his foe, saying, "You call that shooting?" He then created a machine gun and quoted, "Say hello to my little friend!" He then blasted Deviot, causing him to scream as he sustained considerable damage.
Giganta had shrunk back to regular size as she, Zeltrax, and Deviot regrouped. "Don't think you've seen the last of us, Justice Leaguers," vowed Zeltrax before the villainous trio disappeared through a red invisi-portal.
"Glad that's over," said Mark. "Now to find the gem."
They soon came upon a spot in the ice. "Are you sure this is it, Mark?" asked Trini.
"I hope so," answered Mark. "This is the strongest pull I've felt yet."
"Let's find out," said Green Lantern as he created an excavator and dug in the spot that Mark had pointed to. One scoop later, and there was a white gemstone.
Picking it up, Adam simply said, "We got it."
"Wonder Woman to Watchtower. We have the White Ice Stone. We're ready to teleport." Within moments, the group of heroes were gone.
Back in Angel Grove, there was a knock on the door of the Oliver residence. Opening the door, Tommy smiled when he saw Wendy and Marvin. "Hey, Wendy, Marvin, what's up?"
"Hi, Tommy," said Wendy politely. "Listen, we're pretty much done unpacking, and our moms told us it was okay if we go and hang out some."
"Do you think you could give us a tour and maybe introduce us to some of your friends?" asked Marvin. "If I spend one more minute cooped up in that house, I'm gonna go crazy!"
"Sure thing, man," answered Tommy with a chuckle. "I know how hard it can be adjusting to a new place, so, yeah, Jenny and I would be happy to show you around. We'll call some of our friends and see if they can meet us."
Wendy and Marvin got to meet Jason, Kimberly, Zack, Tanya, and Justin at the mall. They were at the food court eating and getting to know one another and, needless to say, the 5 Zeo Rangers were initially speechless when they met the newcomers. "Wow," said Kimberly. "I cannot believe I'm actually having a meal with the two of you."
Smiling, Wendy said, "Yeah, we get that a lot. What do you guys like to do?"
"Well, Tommy and I have a karate class that we teach together," answered Jason. "Nowadays, though, we mostly teach on weekends since we get swamped with homework now that we're in college."
"I like to mix martial-arts with dance," continued Zack. "I call it hip-hop-kido."
"Hip-hop-kido, huh?" responded Marvin. "That I have to see."
"You'll get your chance, my man, you'll get your chance," promised Zack.
"Kim, Jenny, and I are both pretty good singers ourselves," said Tanya. "But we're not sure that's something we'd want to do for a living."
"I'm studying fashion and I'm on the gymnastics team," added Kimberly. "After helping Team USA win the gold at the Pan-Globals two summers ago, I had a chance to be part of the Olympic team, but I turned it down because I became homesick during my training for the Pan-Globals. It was one of the hardest decisions I've ever made, but the Pan-Globals were enough for me."
"I watched you on TV," said Wendy. "You're really good. Your school would have been crazy not to let you be part of the team."
"I'm really big into science and I play youth basketball," said Justin. "Even though I'm in high school, because I'm a lot younger than the other students, I'm not really cut out for the high school team. Hopefully, I'll get a chance to try out my senior year."
Jenny then asked, "Hey, Wendy, Marvin, I heard you guys are half-siblings. Is that true?"
"Yes, it is," answered Marvin. "Wendy and I had the same dad."
"When Marvin's mom was pregnant with him, our dad had a one-night stand with my mom, and got her pregnant with me," continued Wendy. "I was born about five months after Marvin was."
"Needless to say, when my mom found out about Wendy, she was FURIOUS!" continued Marvin. "Our moms teamed up in the divorce case, my mom got sole custody of me, and our mothers thought it was only right that we get a chance to know each other, so we all moved in together."
Wendy added, "Marvin didn't really like me at first because he likes to goof off and have fun, whereas I try to get good grades in school and I'm often too serious for my own good. I'm kinda a control freak."
"Kinda, nothing," protested Marvin. "You ARE!"
Rolling her eyes, Wendy continued, "Luckily, we were able to bond over music and sports. We both like to play basketball, he likes to play football, and I like to play softball."
"About a year after we moved in together, Wendy and I were performing at a fair and we were approached by a guy who was starting up his own music company and offered us a record deal," said Marvin. "And the rest, as they say, is history."
"Wow," said Tommy. "That's quite a story. You'll get to meet the rest of our friends eventually. Right now, a lot of them are out of town, but they should be back later."
"I can't wait to meet them," said Wendy.
"A little warning, though," said Jason, "Karen may get a little star-struck, so try not to be offended."
"Okay," said Marvin tentatively. "Thanks for the warning."
"Oh, by the way, how did you come up with your band name?" asked Tanya.
Marvin smiled and said, "Wendy came up with it. She was actually inspired by the Waste Management logo." Wendy just looked down in embarrassment.
"Ew, gross!" cringed Kimberly.
"Yeah, TMI," agreed Zack in disgust.
Marvin smiled and shrugged, saying, "Hey, Jason asked, we answered. Simple as that."
In Scotland, located on the west coast of the Isle of Lewis, stand the Callanish Standing Stones, one of Scotland's best preserved Neolithic monuments. Once a focus for ritual activity during the Bronze Age, they are now open and free to visit year-round. However, a certain group of Justice Leaguers haven't come to visit, but to find the last of the missing Elemental Stones. Isis, Black Canary, Kat, Rocky, and Al appeared among the stones, out of sight of any visitors. "Looks like we're all alone here," said the Pink Ranger.
"We'd best hurry, though," said Isis. "The sooner we find that final stone, the better. We don't want any innocent visitors to get caught in the crossfire, should we be attacked."
"Al, do you have any idea where the stone is?" asked Canary.
"I feel a faint pull," said the Red Fire Ranger. "Follow me. I just hope I'm not leading us in the wrong direction."
After a few minutes of walking, Rocky asked, "Anything?"
"It's getting stronger," answered Al. "We shouldn't be much longer."
"Oh, trust me, you'll be here a LOT longer than you think!" cried out an unknown voice. The heroes turned to see him, along with Nukus and Felix Faust. "We want that White Elemental Stone."
"Sorry to crash your party," said Al defiantly, "but that stone has no business in the hands of scum like you."
"You'll change your mind soon enough," said the mystery villain. "Allow me to introduce myself. I am General Havoc. And I am accustomed to getting what I want. So, if you will be so kind as to surrender and hand over that stone, we will leave you unharmed."
"You obviously don't know us very well," said the Red Ranger. "You want that stone, you'll have to go through us first." He, Kat, Al, and Canary then got into fighting stances.
"That suits us just fine," said Nukus. He then fired a blast from his sword, but the heroes avoided it easily. Kat and Rocky took on General Havoc, Al and Black Canary faced off against Nukus, and Isis faced Faust.
The Red and Pink Rangers dueled with Havoc, every move matched due to his superb swordsmanship. He struck both Rangers down, but they quickly got back up and resumed the battle. Finally, Kat fired a shot from her Power Bow, which was deflected by Havoc. However, this allowed Rocky the opportunity to strike him twice in the chest with the Power Sword. Kat then used her chakram to knock Havoc's sword out of his hand. She and Rocky then struck him simultaneously, sending him flying.
Nukus swung his sword at Black Canary, but missed. Dinah then kicked his sword away, although he held on to it, allowing Al to strike him in the chest with her Fire Sword. The Red Fire Ranger then taunted, "Shouldn't you be in Charterville, getting your butt handed to you by the Beetleborgs?"
"Horribelle and Vilor can handle those brats for the moment," responded Nukus. "I, however, have plans for that stone and they don't involve you!" He then charged the two ladies, only for Al to parry as he swung his sword. Canary then kicked his arm upwards, sending his sword flying. She and Al then simultaneously kicked him in the chest, causing him to stumble back.
Al caught Nukus' falling sword, saying, "Thanks." She then struck him with both weapons at the same time, pushing him further back.
Dinah then cried out, "Move!" Al, Kat, and Rocky did so, allowing her to send both Nukus and Havoc flying with the Canary Cry.
Meanwhile, Isis and Faust were both shooting lightning at each other, each trying to overpower the other. In the end, Isis' will won out, sending her foe flying, and causing him to land in a heap next to his comrades. "Quit while you still can," ordered Rocky.
"You will rue this day, Justice Leaguers," said Havoc with a surprising calmness. He, Nukus, and Faust then teleported away.
Frowning, Black Canary said, "For a guy who just got beat by us, he sure didn't seem very upset."
"I'll say," agreed Kat. "It's as if he expected us to beat him."
"In any event, we still have a mission to complete," said Isis. "Al, any idea where the stone is."
"Maybe." After a few moments, Al pointed to the ground and said, "I think it's right here. This is the strongest I've felt it yet."
"Guess we better start digging," said Rocky.
"I don't think that's a good idea," said Isis. "We need to make sure this land stays preserved. Allow me." She then chanted, "Earth, beneath our feet, open up, so we can see." The ground beneath then opened up, revealing the Gold Light Stone.
"That's it!" cried Al as she picked it up. Another incantation later, and the ground was closed, as if nothing had happened.
Canary then spoke into her com-link, "J'onn, Alpha, are you there?"
"Go ahead, Canary," answered Martian Manhunter.
"We have the stone. We're ready to teleport."
"Stand by," responded J'onn. Within moments, the foursome were gone.
Back at the Watchtower, the three Elemental Stones were glowing as they hovered over Dimitria's cupped hands. "Excellent work," she said. "But, there is little time. The stones must be bonded with their chosen bearers soon."
"We'll bring them here when they're alone," said Batman.
Cody and Emily were walking out of the theater, hand-in-hand. They had seen the newest Star Wars movie and Emily asked, "So, do you think Rey could be Luke's daughter?"
"Hard to say," answered Cody with a shrug. "He doesn't seem to be the kind of person that would just leave his child with someone like Unkar Plutt. Going into exile is one thing, but leaving his daughter in the hands of scum like that just seems completely out of character to me."
"I still can't believe they killed off Han Solo, though," continued Emily sadly. "And by his own son, no less."
"Well, it's like Han told Leia, 'there's too much Vader in him.'" Emily laughed at Cody's failed attempt to impersonate Harrison Ford.
Once her laughter died down, Emily continued, "But, still, I'm so happy that Rey turned out to be the hero. The trailers made it look like it was going to be Finn."
"I know, right?" agreed Cody with his signature laugh. "And Poe kind of reminds me of…" He never got to finish as he and Emily were teleported away.
Elsewhere, Wendy and Marvin had just walked into their home with Tommy, Jenny, and the others. "This is a nice place you got here," said Jason.
"I would have preferred something bigger, but our moms insisted that we get a 'normal-sized house,' whatever that means," said Marvin as he rolled his eyes.
"It means, we want you and Wendy to learn to live as normal and humble lives as possible," said Danielle Rabbitt, Marvin's mother, as she walked in, along with Wendy's mother, Reese Cash.
"Fame's already gone to your head enough, Marvin," agreed Reese. "Besides, you've both been on the road almost non-stop for three years now, and you need a break."
"Glad to see you've met some people," continued Danielle. "We hope you're not all crazed fans."
"Well, we certainly hope we don't come across that way," said Zack with a chuckle.
Recognizing Tommy and Jenny, Resse asked, "Aren't you two our neighbors?"
"Yeah, we live right across the street from you," answered Tommy. "I'm Tommy and this is my sister Jenny. These are our friends Jason, Kimberly, Zack, Tanya, and Justin."
"We appreciate you showing our kids around the city a little bit," said Danielle. "We hope we can get to know you better as we get settled in."
"We hope so, too," said Jenny with a smile. Suddenly, everyone in the house was teleported away…including Danielle and Reese!
Once everyone materialized at the WatchTower, all of the newcomers began looking around in amazement. Holding on to Cody's arm, Emily asked, "Where are we?"
"You're at the Justice League Watchtower," answered Superman as and the rest of the Justice League approached, including the other (now demorphed) Rangers. Many of the newcomers gasped as they continued to look around. Marvin, Danielle, and Reese looked spooked when they saw Zordon.
Seeing Kat among them, Wendy asked, "Kat, what are you doing here?"
The Pink Ranger turned to Zordon, who nodded. "Well, to tell you the truth, Wendy…I'm actually the Pink Ranger."
Wendy, Danielle, Emily, and Reese gasped as Marvin smiled and said, "No way…that's so cool!" Turning to Tommy, he continued, "Check it out man, your girlfriend's the Pink Ranger!"
"Did you know about this, Tommy?" asked Wendy.
Chuckling, he and Jenny went to join Kat and their friends as he answered, "We should. After all, I am the White Ranger, while my baby sister is the Green Ranger."
"Don't call me your baby sister!" yelled Jenny. "I swear, you do that every chance you get!"
"That's the point," said Tommy with a smirk.
"Wait a minute, didn't the Green Ranger start out on the side of the bad guys?" asked Wendy in confusion.
"It's a long story, but that was actually me, not Jenny," answered Tommy.
"Wait a minute, what's all this got to do with us?" asked an understandably-confused Danielle.
"And why am I here?" asked Emily. Turning to Cody, she continued, "Wait, are you in on this, too?"
Figuring the cat was out of the bag, Cody just shrugged and answered, "Well, babe, I'm actually one of the Geo Rangers, so, yeah."
Before anyone could protest further, Superman spoke up, "Look, I know you all have questions, and we'll try our best to answer them, but, to be blunt, the reason you've been brought here is because Wendy, Marvin, and Emily have been chosen to be Rangers."
Marvin's face lit up as he said, "Dude, that's awesome! Sign me up!"
"Marvin, are you crazy?" asked Danielle in shock.
Feeling betrayed, Emily asked Cody, "How could you keep something like this from me?"
"That's not possible," said Wendy in disbelief. "We can't be Power Rangers! If the press finds out, they'll never back off!"
"And there's no way we'd let our kids be superheroes!" continued Reese. "They could get hurt! Or worse, what if they get killed?"
"Oh, come on, you guys, lighten up, will you?" yelled Marvin. Walking over to Danielle, he said, "Look, mom, I love you, and I know you want what's best for me, but this isn't your choice to make. It's mine." Turning to Wendy and Emily, he continued, "As for the two of you, you can do whatever you want, but this is the chance of a lifetime, and I'm not going to give it up."
Stepping forward, Zack said, "He's right. When I was first chosen to be a Power Ranger, I said no. Turns out, it was the greatest thing that ever happened to me, to all of us."
"Look, we can't force this on you," said Trini. "If you want out, we understand. But, Ms. Rabbitt, Ms. Cash, no disrespect to the two of you, but you have no say in this. Only Wendy, Marvin, and Emily do."
"And trust us when we tell you, if you say no, you will regret it for the rest of your lives," finished Billy.
Wendy and Emily looked at each other as an anxious Marvin waited to hear their decision. Finally, Wendy closed her eyes and let out a deep sigh. Turning to her mom, she said, "Sorry, mom. But, I'm joining in. After all, somebody has to make sure Marvin doesn't do anything stupid." Marvin just stuck his tongue out at his half-sister teasingly.
Still somewhat indecisive, Emily said, "I might as well make it unanimous." She turned to Cody and said, "But, we're still talking after this." Cody just stood there, a rare time when he was at a loss for words.
"Then, let us begin," said Dimitria as the three newly-chosen Rangers stepped forward. All the Ranger teams and Justice Leaguers gathered with Danielle and Reese standing between the Morphin and Geo teams as the ceremony started. First, the gold stone entered Marvin's heart, suiting him up. "Marvin, you are the Gold Light Ranger. And as such, light is yours to command." A gun then appeared in his hands. "Your weapon is the Light Blaster. It can fire hard light beams meant to stun, not kill."
Next was Wendy, who received the yellow stone. "Wendy, you are the Yellow Solar Ranger. Sunlight is at your disposal." Two daggers then appeared in her hands. "These are your Solar Daggers. Use them with care." Al, Brendan, Cody, Karen, and Mark looked at each other, wondering what Dana would have to say about this.
Finally, Emily gasped as the white stone bonded with her. "And you, Emily, are the White Ice Ranger, able to control cold and snow at will." A small staff appeared in her hands. "And this is your Ice Scepter, capable of firing icicles at your enemies." As the new Rangers took everything in, Dimitria finished with, "To demorph, put your hands over your hearts." They did so, and were back to normal.
"That was a rush!" exclaimed Marvin.
"BUT NOW THAT YOU HAVE ACCEPTED THE RESPONSIBILITY OF BEING GEO RANGERS, YOU MUST FOLLOW THE SAME RULES AS THE OTHER RANGERS, OR LOSE THE PROTECTION OF THE POWER," said Zordon.
"Awe, man," whined Marvin. "Why does there always have to be rules? OW!"
Wendy had smacked her half-brother in the back of the head, answering, "To keep people like you from getting us, and yourself, killed!"
Zordon continued, "FIRST, NEVER USE YOUR POWERS FOR PERSONAL GAIN. SECOND, NEVER ESCALATE A BATTLE UNLESS THE ENEMY FORCES YOU. AND FINALLY, KEEP YOUR IDENTITIES A SECRET. WITH THE EXCEPTION OF MYSELF, THE OTHER RANGERS, THE JUSTICE LEAGUERS, AND EVERYONE ELSE HERE, INCLUDING MS. RABBITT AND MS. CASH, NO ONE MAY KNOW THAT YOU ARE A POWER RANGER, UNLESS I ALLOW IT."
Looking over at Cody again, Emily said, "So, that's why you couldn't tell me. That doesn't mean I'm not still upset with you."
Suddenly, the alarms went off. Going over to the consoles, Martian Manhunter said, "Looks like we've got a four-way emergency. Central City, Charterville, Berlin, and Moscow seem to be the targets."
Stepping up to her three new teammates, Al said, "Sorry to throw you guys into the fire so quickly, but we've got work to do. Ready?"
Nervously, Wendy said, "As we'll ever be, I guess."
"Alright, Jenny, Trini, and myself will help Flash in Central City," said Tommy.
"I'm coming, too," said Black Canary.
"The five of us will help the Beetleborgs in Charterville," said Rocky, who would be joined by Billy, Kat, Adam, and Aisha.
"Green Lantern and I will come with you," said Martian Manhunter.
"I just received word from Robin that the Titans are headed for Berlin," said Jason. "Me and the Zeo Rangers will join them there."
"That leaves the rest of us to handle things in Moscow," finished Wonder Woman.
"It's Morphin Time!" cried Tommy and Jason at the same time.
Kat: "PTERODACTYL!"
Billy: "TRICERATOPS!"
Rocky: "TYRANNOSAURUS!"
Adam: "MASTODON!"
Aisha: "SABER-TOOTHED TIGER!"
Jenny: "GREEN DRAGON!"
Trini: "PYRAMIDAS!"
Tommy: "WHITE TIGER!"
Kimberly: "ZEO RANGER I, PINK!"
Tanya: "ZEO RANGER II, YELLOW!"
Justin: "ZEO RANGER III, BLUE!"
Zack: "ZEO RANGER IV, GREEN!"
Jason: "ZEO RANGER V, RED!"
Looking at Wendy, Marvin, and Emily, Al said, "Just follow our lead. Geo Rangers, Unite!"
Marvin: "POWER OF LIGHT!"
Wendy: "POWER OF THE SUN!"
Emily: "POWER OF ICE!"
Karen: "POWER OF WIND!"
Brendan: "POWER OF EARTH!"
Mark: "POWER OF WATER!"
Cody: "POWER OF THUNDER!"
Al: "POWER OF FIRE!"
Once everyone was teleported towards their respective destinations, Alpha approached the two women who were still in the Watchtower. "Hello, um, I'm Alpha 5, Zordon's assistant, and I was wondering if there was any way I could make you, um, more comfortable." Danielle and Reese looked at each other, not sure what to make of the little robot.
"Or perhaps you'll feel better talking to us instead?" asked Frank as he, Carol, and Lilly approached. "I'm Frank Lambert. This is my wife Carol, and our daughter Lilly."
"Our kids are the other Geo Rangers," said Carol. "So, if there's anyone who knows what you two are going through right now, it's us."
"At least we're not alone up here," said Danielle. "Is there any way we could get some coffee around here?"
Chuckling, Frank said, "Yes, we can certainly help you with that."
"They have a fully-stocked kitchen up here," said Lilly. "Even superheroes have to eat." This seemed to break the ice as it finally got a smile out of both Danielle and Reese.
The Flash, Black Canary, and the three accompanying Rangers arrived in Central City. People were running as Tengas were attacking, under orders from General Havoc and Killer Frost. Upon arrival, Black Canary frowned when she saw Havoc. "You again."
"But, of course," said Havoc. "You didn't really think I'd retreat that easily, do you? I merely launched this attack to show how worthless your species truly is. Do you really believe any of them are worth saving? Such cowards, they are."
"Not us," said Tommy. "Leave now, or suffer the consequences!"
"I do not believe you are strong enough to carry out that threat, White Ranger," said Havoc as he drew his sword. "But, if it's a battle you want, it's a battle you'll get. Although, the outcome is already a certainty."
"We've heard that before," said Trini. Havoc then charged, taking on both the White and Gold Rangers simultaneously. Tommy and Trini were quickly forced to draw their weapons as they were struck down.
Killer Frost fired ice at Jenny, but the Green Ranger was able to avoid the shots. "You can't hold out forever, Green Ranger!" yelled Frost as she fired again. However, Jenny played a tune on her flute, causing the blasts to bounce off her shield. "What?" cried Frost in surprise as she continued to fire, only for Jenny to respond in the same way.
When she got close enough, Jenny hit Killer Frost with a round house kick. A punch and a thrust kick caused the murderous villainess to keel over. Finally, Jenny hit Frost in the back of the head with her Dragon Dagger, knocking her out. "You're not killing anyone today."
Flash easily took out several Tengas with his super-speed. Black Canary beat several more into submission. Meanwhile, Tommy and Trini continued to duel with General Havoc. Trini finally managed to kick Havoc's sword out of his hand, allowing Tommy to strike him in the chest with Saba. Simultaneous kicks caused him to stumble back. "This is not possible!" cried Havoc.
Flash then zipped by and connected with two super-speed punches. "Oh, it's possible, alright!" Canary then let loose with the Canary Cry, sending him flying.
"Had enough?" asked Dinah as her comrades stood with her.
Seeing that he was on his own, Havoc said, "Very well, Justice Leaguers. You win this round. But you will not win the war." He then teleported away.
"Glad that's over," said Tommy.
"Let's hope the others do just as well," added Trini.
In Charterville, the Beetleborgs were doing battle with the Dregs, along with Deviot, Star Sapphire, and the Crustaceans. "Give it up, Beetleborgs!" cried Deviot. "You're outnumbered!"
The Rangers then made their entrance as Rocky cried, "Not for long!"
Green Lantern then hit Deviot with a ring-generated fist. "Hello again, Deviot!"
Star Sapphire created an energy sword, but was parried by Kat's Power Bow in sword form. "Not today, Star Sapphire!" said a determined Pink Ranger.
"Get out of my way, Ranger. You are no match for me," threatened Sapphire as she fired Sapphire Beams. Kat countered with energy arrows from her Power Bow, cancelling each other out.
"It's over, Sapphire!" yelled Kat as she threw her chakram, hitting Star Sapphire in the forehead and taking her out of the fight.
As Billy and Adam helped the Beetleborgs battle the Dregs, Drew McCormick, the Chromium Gold Beetleborg, said, "Thanks for the help, cousin."
"Any time," said Billy as he struck down Dregs with his Power Lance.
As she and Adam struck down more Dregs, Jo McCormick, the Platinum Purple Beetleborg said, "Good to see you, Adam. I'm not sure the three of us alone could have stopped them."
"What are friends for?" asked the Black Ranger as he smiled underneath his helmet. Jo did the same.
As he struck down the remaining Dregs, Roland Williams, the Titanium Silver Beetleborg, said, "Now to take care of the rest." As Deviot charged Green Lantern, Roland cried, "Metallix Grappler!" He grabbed Deviot and lifted him off the ground.
"Put me down, you imbecile!" demanded Deviot.
"Okay," said Roland before tossing him unceremoniously over his head.
"You'll pay dearly for that!" cried Deviot as he turned his lasers up to maximum power. But before he could fire, Green Lantern fired darts into the barrels of his guns, causing the power to get trapped. This caused his blasters to explode, damaging him and causing him to cry out in pain.
"That's enough out of you, Deviot," said Green Lantern with a frown. He then turned to Roland and said, "I could have handled him, kid."
"I know," admitted Roland. "But where's the fun in that?" Hal could only smile.
Rocky was dueling with Vilor, who said, "You're no match for me, Ranger!"
"We'll see about that," retorted the Red Ranger. He quickly disarmed his foe and struck him down.
As Aisha battled Horri-Belle, the female Crustacean said, "You shall regret crossing paths with me!"
"Oh, believe me, I already do," countered the Yellow Ranger as she, too, disarmed and put down her foe.
Seeing J'onn, Nukus said, "The Martian Manhunter. It shall give me great pleasure to destroy you!" He then charged and attempted to strike with his sword, but the Martian caught his arm and hit him with a knee to the stomach, causing him to drop his weapon.
Frowning, J'onn said, "This fight is over." He then knocked Nukus out of the fight with one punch.
Upon regrouping, Nukus said, "We'll be back."
"We'll be waiting," said Drew. The Crustaceans and Deviot teleported out, leaving an unconscious Star Sapphire to be turned over. "Thanks, guys," said Drew.
"It's always awesome getting to team up with the Justice League," said Jo, getting smiles out of Green Lantern and Martian Manhunter.
In Berlin, people were running from Metallo, Zeltrax, Clayface, and Triptoids. The tables began to turn once the Titans and Zeo Rangers showed up. "Let's take out the trash!" declared Superboy.
"That will be easier said than done, Superboy," said Metallo as the two began exchanging blows. Superboy was having trouble due to Metallo's Kryptonite heart and laser eye, but Wonder Girl helped him out by wrapping her lasso around the cyborg and tossing him like a rag doll. The duo then landed simultaneous punches. Starfire then swooped in and blasted him with her Starbolts, taking him out of the fight.
"Glad to get him out of the way," said Wonder Girl.
"No kidding," agreed Superboy. "The fact that he's powered by Kryptonite always makes him difficult to combat."
Jason was dueling with Zeltrax while the other Zeo Rangers took on the Triptoids. Speedy helped out by destroying several at once with an exploding arrow. Robin also beat several into submission. Zeltrax managed to strike Jason down, but Cyborg intervened. "Oh, no you don't!" cried Cyborg before Zeltrax could move in for the kill. He then blasted him with his arm cannon, sending him flying.
As his teammate helped him to his feet, Jason said, "Thanks, Cyborg."
"Any time," said Cyborg with a smile.
Raven, meanwhile had been avoiding Clayface's attacks while using her telekinesis to try and keep him off balance. She then trapped him with her shadow manipulation power. "Foolish girl!" cried Clayface. "You think this can hold me?"
"It'll hold you long enough," said Raven.
"Long enough for me to do this!" declared Changeling as he turned into a rhino and plowed him over. Wonder Girl then wrapped her lasso around the still-trapped Clayface, the shadow trap making him unable to cut through the rope. Wonder Girl then allowed her anger to build up, zapping him with electricity and putting him out of the fight.
With the threat taken care of, Robin said, "Well done, team."
"It's not over yet, though," said Starfire.
"We know," said Justin. "But they can handle it. I just hope the newest Geo Rangers are up to the task."
That was to be determined in Moscow, where people were running from Solomon Grundy, Goldar, Scorpina, and Bloodsport, along with several Putties. When the remaining Justice Leaguers showed up, Superman bellowed, "That's enough!"
"On the contrary, Man of Steel, we're just beginning!" boasted Goldar.
Noticing the Geo Rangers, Scorpina added, "And I see you've added three new Geo Rangers. Too bad your first mission will also be your last!"
"She sounds serious," said Emily nervously.
"And now, Justice Leaguers, prepare to die!" cried Bloodsport as he fired a bazooka, which Wonder Woman deflected.
"You never learn, do you?" asked the Amazon with a frown. She and Batman began to engage him in hand-to-hand combat. Batman knocked his weapon out of his hands before hitting him with two hard punches. Two more from Wonder Woman put him down.
Superman then proceeded to fly towards Grundy, landing both fists into his midsection and sending him flying. However, the zombie was far from finished as he got up and bashed the Man of Steel with one punch. Wiping his lip, Superman frowned and said, "Okay, if that's the way you want to play." He then landed two punches to Grundy's jaw. Grundy responded by swinging his huge fist, but the Kryptonian caught it and threw him over his shoulder.
Isis used her staff to duel with Scorpina. After being taken down, Scorpina began to get angry. She ran her hand over her sword, causing it to glow. She then threw it like a boomerang, but Isis used her winds to redirect the sword, striking Scorpina down. She then fired a burst of lightning, putting her out of the fight.
While the Geo Rangers engaged the Putties, Goldar targeted Wendy, Marvin, and Emily, striking each of them down with his sword. They tried to fight back, but Goldar just struck them down again. "It's no use, Rangers! You're not strong enough to beat me!"
"We'll see about that!" cried Marvin defiantly, as he produced his new Light Blaster. He shot Goldar's sword out of his hand, surprising him. Marvin then blinded him with an intense burst of light, while Wendy did the same with a burst of sunlight, which also blinded some unfortunate Putties in the area.
"Whoa!" said Wendy as she saw the effects her new powers were having. "I need to learn to be more careful." She then summoned her Solar Daggers, crossed them in front of her, and produced an even more intense burst of sunlight, causing the Putties to start melting. She then struck Goldar multiple times, causing him to stumble back.
"My turn," said Emily, as she fired icicles, causing Goldar to cry out in pain. His sight finally returning, he tried to charge the trio, but Emily iced the ground, causing him to slip and fall. He got to one knee, but Emily summoned her Ice Scepter and fired, sending him flying. "Wow. I guess we were strong enough to beat him after all."
Once the Putties were taken care of, the Geo Rangers gathered together as Goldar and Scorpina struggled to their feet. Scorpina said, "Curse you Rangers! Mark my words, some day, some way, you will all be destroyed!" She and Goldar then teleported out.
Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman, and Isis then approached. Smiling at the three newest Rangers, Superman said, "Well done, you three. You handled your first mission like pros."
"However, things will only get more difficult from here," warned Batman. "So, you've got to be ready at all times."
"We will be," promised Wendy. "We have to be."
"All that's left now is to turn Grundy and Bloodsport over to the proper authorities," said Isis. The group then proceeded to carry out their task.
Danielle, Reese, Frank, Carol, and Lilly were still at the Watchtower when everyone returned. Once all of the Rangers had demorphed, Reese said, "They made it back. Oh, thank God."
Carol smiled and said, "Frank and I feel the same way every time our kids make it back from a mission."
Once everyone had gathered, Zordon said, "CONGRATULATIONS. YOU HAVE WON A GREAT VICTORY THIS DAY. HOWEVER, NOW THAT THE GEO TEAM IS COMPLETE, THIS WILL ONLY MAKE OUR ENEMIES MORE DETERMINED TO DESTROY YOU."
"That's right," agreed Dimitria. "Wendy, Marvin, and Emily, like your fellow Geo Rangers, you will face trials and tribulations unlike any you've faced before. But, I have complete faith that, in the end, you will all make great Rangers."
"I think it would be wise if the Geo Rangers were to train directly under the Morphin and Zeo Rangers," said Batman. "They will need all the help they can get."
"AGREED," said Zordon. "IS THIS OKAY WITH YOU, RANGERS?"
Jason and Tommy looked at each other. Tommy said, "We already promised Frank that we would show his and Carol's kids the ropes."
"I guess this makes it official then," added Jason.
Al then said, "We need the practice, for sure." She then turned to Wendy, Marvin, and Emily and said, "I may be the leader of the Geo Rangers, but we're all still pretty green. Like Batman said, we'll need all the help we can get."
"Then it's settled. In the meantime, why don't you all go home and rest," suggested Superman. "You've earned it."
"I think we could all go for that," said Rocky.
As everyone was getting ready to go, Emily pulled Cody aside and said, "Cody, I just want to apologize for the way I acted earlier. When Goldar singled me, Wendy, and Marvin out, I saw you struggling to try and get to me, but those Putties were keeping you and the others at bay."
"I know," said Cody. "I'm sorry I wasn't more of use to you. I never meant for any of this to happen."
"I know you didn't," said Emily. "I guess I need to be more open-minded. But if you're in this for the long-haul, I will certainly make the effort to do the same. In the meantime, would you like to go out on another date with me?"
"You bet I would," said Cody before letting out his signature laugh. "Wait, so does this mean we're boyfriend and girlfriend now?"
Emily smiled and placed a kiss on Cody's lips. "What do you think?"
Cody smiled and said, "I'll definitely take that as a yes." He laughed again before the two of them rejoined the others.
Later that night, the Youth Center was packed as MW2 was having a free impromptu show. Marvin was playing the guitar, Wendy the keyboard, while Tanya was on percussion, Trini on synthesizers, and Rocky on the drums. After performing a few of their hits, Marvin said, "This last song is a tribute to Davey Jones from the Monkees."
Look out, here comes tomorrow
That's when I'll have to choose
How I wish I could borrow
Someone else's shoes
Mary, oh, what a sweet girl
Lips like strawberry pie
Sandra, long hair and beat, girl
Can't make up my mind
I see all kinds of sorrow
Wish I only loved one
Look out, here comes tomorrow
Oh, how I wish tomorrow would never come
Told them both that I loved them
Said it, and it was true
But I can't have both of them
Don't know what to do
I see all kinds of sorrow
Wish I only loved one
Look out, here comes tomorrow
Oh, how I wish tomorrow would never come
Mary, I love you
Sandra, I love you
Well, I see all kinds of sorrow
Wish I only loved one
Look out, here comes tomorrow
Oh, how I wish tomorrow would never come
I love you
Darling, I love you
Everyone in the Youth Center applauded, none louder than their mothers and their new friends.
