Hm. I don't know. I just felt as if I had to do something D/R related. Just a drabble. Still, hope you like it!

Dark grinned in spite of himself.

"Well?" he asked before he could bite his tongue. He smiled again just to get a rise from her, this time surprised by her quiet gaze. He tried to keep still as to not let her see how uneasy she was making him.

"Okay, so you have a point," Riku conceded, testing out the words slowly. "But how do I know that this isn't something you just made up on a whim?" She rested her head on her right hand, not taking off her inquisitive gaze from the violet-haired teen across from her.

"I don't do whims," Dark answered almost automatically before inwardly cringing at the visible amusement in Riku's eyes. "Just trust me on it. You can ask Satoshi if you want." This time it was his turn to glare. Did she think he bribed their teachers to give him the grades he had or something?

She shook her head. "No, it's not that. If I fail Biology again, I'll say that you tutored me." She shrugged noncommittally. "It's just seems too hard to believe that you would be the one teaching me this stuff."

"And I can always say that I didn't. Besides, I've got a good memory." He narrowed his eyes. "So are we done?"

Riku smiled up at him. Dark was struck speechless. "Yeah, we're done. That must have been torture for you, huh?"

"Because it was all butterflies and rainbows for you." He stood up from his chair and gathered his notes on the table.

"Anyway, thanks. Really. I know you didn't have to do this…so I owe you one, okay? No buts."

"Who am I to say no to a favor?" He looked at her skeptically. "But I don't need to you to feel obligated to do anything for me. Think of this as my good deed for the year. A kind of early Christmas present." He smirked at her then shrugged his jacket on.

She led him to her front door. "If you're sure." It wasn't that she wanted to be indebted to him, it was merely a matter of pride.

Dark was halfway out the door when he suddenly turned around. "You know what, I think I'll take you up on that favor after all."

Riku was surprised at his sudden change of heart. Wait, this was Dark Mousy. She should have seen it coming. "Oh? What did you have in mind?"

But instead of an answer, he bent his head and locked his eyes with hers. A blush rose on Riku's face. Then his lips were on hers—a chaste, simple kiss. There one second, gone the next.

Riku, still disoriented, didn't realize that Dark was already on his way to his car.

"See you around, Riku." He winked at her through the driver's seat window.
