Silver Scales

One girl knows the secret.

She swore to take it to her grave.

But, what happens when He finds out?

The almost white sand glistened in the intense heat that engulfed the whole of the tiny island of Bonnington. The few people that knew of the tiny island, usually kept away. Some say that it was haunted by a giant lion. They were wrong. It was something different, and far more terrifying. Only one person knew of secret, and she had sworn to take it to the grave, no matter what happened...

You're probably wondering what my secret is. Well, I'm not going to tell you. I swore to take it to my grave. Maybe, I'll tell you one thing. I'll tell you what happened when He found out. How I fell and how I missed my target. I missed my target by only millimetres. Those millimetres cost me my life; and more importantly, my love. The product received at the end? Pain… And a lot of it.

I, Ginevra Weasley, am sitting on a cushion covered carpet writing in this leather bound, in my own room at Hogwarts. I managed to get Head Girl! And oh, was I pleased. But I'm not writing to tell you about that, I'm writing to tell you all about Bonnington Island, what happened when I discovered the secret, and what happened when that secret itself was discovered by one of my worst enemies. I'm also going to tell you what the consequences of all of this were.

Maybe first, I should tell you what happened before I went to Bonnington. How and why I ended up there and other things like that you may be itching to know. I'll tell you the tale of my secret, I think, what happened to me and how it made me feel and act and think.

Before I continue though, I'd like to take a break. Hermione was kind enough to send me some muggle carbonated drinks. I tried them in Muggle Studies and fell in love; I think I'm addicted to the caffeine and sugar. I get teased by other students about my drink of choice, Irn-Bru, a bright orange concoction that I swear glows in the dark. But it tastes so good! So I think I'll get some Irn-Bru and add to what I owe Hermione. I swear I'll pay her back once I get a job, I'm smart enough to earn something decent, to give myself a comfortable life.

A re-write of a previously published story with the same title. Ten reviwes last time, more this time? I promise to write more than I did a couple of years ago, I've already lengthened this as much as I could to keep with the plot.
