notes: uchiha family moments. sakura loves to tease sasuke, it's always light teasing and banter in this family.
notes 2: i revamped it from the drabble i posted on my tumblr, i think it reads a lot better.
notes 3: After Gaiden, except imagine sasuke wasn't gone for 10 years. i refuse to believe he was gone that long. so like a bit canon-divergent.

"You would think," She pauses a moment, walking into the kitchen, and then back out, continuing: "that being away from me would have you more accustomed to me always wanting to coddle you at times." Sasuke hums, and turns his attention back to his daughter who has fallen asleep on the floor nearby in the living room, he gently pats her head as she stirs, turning over—Sakura smiles at the moment.

She had just gotten done smothering him in kisses, as he tried to shy away from them out of embarrassment, he never wants her to know that she has him wrapped around her finger, his daughter too. Although, Sakura does in fact know and she loves to shower him in constant adoration, he begrudgingly agrees, that he does love it.

From the kitchen, Sakura catches his eye, and Sasuke grunts.

"Sakura," he finally says. "I don't mind you giving me more love than I'm used to, I happen to…" he trails off and she laughs as her jade eyes twinkle with amusement, as he fights off the light redness on his cheeks— "Enjoy it." He finishes.

Sakura gives him a wave as she turns his back to him and continues to tease him, her blush in return making an appearance, but trying to cover up the excitement with leisure chatter.

"Yeah, yeah, but it's good that you're finally here for good, we really did miss you." She adds softly and Sasuke gets up, going to her.

"For all the lost time? I know," and with that, he presses his forehead against her temple and she sighs, content— the warmth coming back.

"Lost time, huh?" Sakura whispers, and Sasuke's lip upturns into a smirk.

Sakura snorts and Sasuke grimaces. "What?"

She laughs harder at the aghast expression, cupping his face. "Don't make that face. I love you," she informs him and he puckers.

"Alright."

Sakura gives him a look. "Alright?" He notices she's slightly upset at the fact that he didn't even try to say the three little words in return.

It's Sasuke's turn to laugh (comes out more as a cough as he tries to hide it).

This time, he fixes it. "I love you, too."

Sakura clucks her tongue, tapping her chin pretending to be in deep thought.

"Alright," she simply says, turning her attention back to the dinner that needs to be made.

This time, he smiles.
