The First Mishap

Her eyes opened, revealing pale white orbs. Her white long hair floated carefully, surrounding her; glowing. "Another Spina pair has been born. I have a feeling… that these two will have the most unfortunate of endings."

"My lady, goddess of heaven, Caelum."

"Yes," She addressed the angle bowing in front of her.

"You musn't."

She breathed out a gentle sigh. A small smile graze her lips. "You always know what I'm thinking." Caelum closed her eyes. Letting the air around her carry her. "But," she paused. "I must." Her white dress floated around her, as if she were in water. Her hair doing the same. "After all, it has been a great while since I have witnessed the outcome of my recklessness."

"You are too harsh upon yourself." The angel's black wings fluttered behind him, getting ready to lift him off the ground.

"Perhaps." She said softly. "Perhaps…"

When she opened her eyes again, she was in front of a pink crib. Inside it a cute little boy with black hair and the palest skin, smiled up at her- or rather behind her.

"Sasuke," She heard the voice of a loving mother say. Mothers have a way of speaking that Caelum understood, after all she was the mother of all creations.

Caelum took the opportunity, once the baby was in his mother's hands, to look at the rest of the room. Pink walls decorated with white accents.

The mother who was expecting a daughter, giving birth to a son. First mishap is already in place.

"Look at you, so big already." The woman smiled, cooing her son. "Only three months old."

Caelum turned around to find herself in a hospital room.

"Congratulations," The doctor said, a small baby in his arms. "It's a boy."

A woman with bright red hair, and a soft smile looked towards her newborn. "Let me hold her." Her arms extended out.

"Ma'm, it's boy." The doctor corrected and handed the tanned boy to his mother.

"The ultrasound… oh, well." She smiled. "It doesn't matter." She warmed up closer to her newborn. "Jiraiya will just have to think up of a boy's name." She said to herself.

"Can I…" a shy blond man, peaked into the room. The doctor smiled, granting him entrance. The father walked into the room and passed right through Caelum. He stood next to his wife. "Can I hold her?"

"It's a boy, Minato."

"Oh, but the ultrasound- doesn't matter. Jiraiya can think of a new name."

"Ya know, I said the same thing!" She laughed.

Minato smiled, brushing his wife's hair back. He kissed her forehead. "I'm happy."

"Me too." She sighed in contentment.

Grief filled Caelum at the sight of the happy family. Oh, the hardships they will be facing not too long from now.

The Second Mishap

"My sweet angel, do not interfere." She said, her white eyes revealing themselves as she turned to look at the only angel with black wings in her little haven.

"It pains me to look at you like this."

"But it is not my hurt my angels should worry about. It is the hurt of my creations."

"Very well, goddess Caelum. Will you visit them again?"

"Yes." She said without hesitation. "But, there is not much I can do for them."

As she said her last words to him, the black winged angel flew away, leaving a single feather in his leave.

The feather turned to dust, and Caelum found herself inside of a room painted orange, decorated by trophies. Sitting next to a small bed were two blonds, a girl and a boy. Their hands entangled, faces just a hair widths apart.

Caelum felt a gasp leave her body. "My children, you must push forward. You've managed to find each other though fate was trying her best to not make it happen."

But her words were useless. The two pulled apart from the electric shock that had run through them.

"Don't you see," she said, her heart breaking. "That's your true soulmate."

'Wouldn't it be nice though…'

She heard Naruto say to himself. And her heart breaks to hear such a thing. Alas, the second mishap, losing the chance to make up for the loss has taken place.

She cannot do anything for them.

The Third Mishap

March 15th, xxx1

The next time Caelum decided to visit the Spina pair again, they had become adults. It was when they had met for the first time.

The goddess had waited in patience to see how the two boys would grow to be.

One was trained to destroy life.

The other was training to save life.

'Cruel.' She thought to herself. 'How cruel the world has become.'

The black haired boy was on top of the golden haired boy. That was how she first saw them. Resembling the sun and the moon. The yin and the yang. Light and dark.

So, she granted them their fate. Giving evil good, and good evil.

The third mishap: receiving wrongly assigned fates. This mishap she always had to assist in, it was a call out; a warning. Yet, it never worked.

She felt disgust at the two boys already starting to be intrigued by the other. They were not supposed to love. They were not supposed to meet. They were not supposed to exist together. Not as one.

I would never let go of your hand

The Fourth Mishap

Caelum hated it. She hated the love the two boys had developed over time. She hated that she loved their love.

The way they shared simple glances. Simple conversations. Simple touches.

The way those glances, conversations, touches created a space of happiness for the both of them.

How much Naruto had become happier. How much Sasuke had begun to trust.

"Was there a flaw in my design?" Her voice echoed.

"Never, my beloved goddess."

"Am I biased?"

"No, my lady."

"You're always quick to come when I begin to fall, my fallen angel."

"I've always loved you the most, after all."

She felt his words pull at her heart. "Leave."

"Yes, my lady." The gust of wind created by his wings didn't shift a single strand of hair on her head.

She let herself be lifted off the ground, slowly spinning around on the same spot. Stress being breathed out her body with each exhale. Her hair shifted around her, creating a safe and warm blanket.

Her thoughts wandered off to the first time the boys had held each other.

So soft. So loving. As if the smallest wrong move would break the other.

They loved as if there could never be anything wrong with the world. They loved as if they were each other's world.

The world outside was raging, pouring rain and storming thunder. Angry that it was being forgotten by a mistake in the creation of the world.

And so the fourth mishap tried to bring attention to itself. The Spina pair's bond becoming stronger caused the clouds to pour down in anger.

The fourth mishap was the pair becoming stronger, learning to love each other. Loving whom they were not supposed to love. In mind and in body. They had started to become inseparable.

Stop. The earth cried. The goddess is being reminded of her mistakes.

I need you here right by my side

The Fifth Mishap

"Of course," the goddess said looking at Naruto who had just pushed his husband to the ground, after punching him in the face. "How much longer would the love have lasted? Silly." Her voice was monotonous. Silly her for believing that maybe this love would have prevailed. That they would continue to love and defeat the curse Inferno had casted upon them. Silly her for believing that those glances, those conversations, those touches would be forever.

Sasuke, instead of feeling anger, tried to extinguish Naruto's. Though his words were harsh, they didn't throw any attacks towards Naruto. Rather he reached his level and tried to bring Naruto down to calmness.

Forget your anger. Love me again.

"It doesn't fucking matter." Don't be concerned, you're who I love.

"That has nothing to do with you." Don't think about this, love. I don't want it to separate us.

So afraid to let Naruto know what he did. So afraid even now that it was too late to take it all back. Too late to approach it another way. In denial of this being the possible end to them.

Normally Naruto would understand the way Sasuke spoke. It was their own way of communicating. But Naruto was hurting. He was breaking. He was being reminded of what he had lost, from someone who had given him a new reason to live on.

The fifth mishap was losing trust, losing love, losing the other.

And as hard as it was to let got of the one you love with your whole being, Naruto was too angry, too betrayed, to think about what his actions could result in. And so, in the end, he left. For himself. Because he was done with hurting. Not again, he wouldn't let it happen again.

"Would you leave, my dear black winged angel?" She had called out to him.

"I would have never come… so to be able to choose between leaving and staying."

Caelum felt nothing from his response.

No comfort. No disgust. No trust.

"You're incapable of loving." She stated.

"Anyone other than you." He responded.

The Sixth Mishap

10:20 pm

July 19th, xxx3

Caelum watched as Sasuke's body hit the floor. She put her hands over Naruto's eyes and took away his colours. Naruto stood up. Without a thought in his mind.

Caelum knew she'd be witnessing two deaths tonight. She wished she wasn't.

Still in her high, laughing at Sasuke's death Kaguya could've never seen it coming.

In his anger and anguish, Naruto couldn't think about stopping it. He grabbed Sasuke's Katana, which fell from his hand and towards Naruto as he fell on the ground in an instant death.

Naruto pierced the sword through her.

"You weren't supposed to collect his could yet." Caelum said.

"He needed to be punished."

"You're not punishing Sasuke, you're giving Naruto the reward."

Itachi found Naruto. Sitting in the blood of Kaguya and Sasuke.

"Hey bastard, didn't think I'd forget your birthday, did ya?" Naruto placed a bouquet of lilies on sasuke's grave. "Don't be mad if the lilies aren't white, okay?" He laughed. "And don't be mad that I convinced your old man to help me come see you, alright? He didn't do anything wrong." Naruto placed a hand on Sasuke's grave stone. "I had to make a few mistakes before we could get even, alright?"

Naruto closed his eyes.

"I did it. After all the training this past year. I did it." Naruto smiled. "Madara was on the run but I managed to track him down." He kicked a stone next to his feet. "Itachi told me to never seek revenge after I took your place in the agency." He frowned. "He won't talk to me for a while...neither will mother. But you know how she is." He laughed.

Then he stayed quiet. Looking at sasuke's name etched into the stone.

The sun had started to set.

"I don't think you'd be happy with what I did, Sasuke." He smiled, falling to his knees. "But I wasn't happy with what you did either." He lay on top of Sasuke's grave and his last breath escaped him.

The end.

And with that, come's the end of Colours. It was a long process. but I got here. Thanks to everyone who kept reading and requesting for updates.
