So sweet. I have always liked how Ressler cares for Keen, doesn't happen much but it's definitely there.

I've been re-reading all your stories on Keen and Ressler. I didn't take the time to review on them the first time, but I read them over and over! You capture them so amazingly. So beautifully. I hear their voices. I see their glances and I feel their underlying anguish. Wonderful job on a scene that was cut way too short in the actual show. We were given Ressler arresting Wolfe, yet eyes on Keen the ENTIRE time. We were given the look on his face when he heard her phone ring and he knew. We were given his look at her, his look down and his look up at her again, torn between wanting to go to her right there, and having to be the 'stoic Agent Ressler'. Your story completed that 'oh-too-short' scene we were given. And I thank you!

I read this at the beginning of the week on my phone early the next morning after you posted it and have been meaning to review. Life. Totally gets in the way!

Again, you've captured the essence of who these two are in this very moment. They are not close, don't even really like each other, yet... they have a connection, forced as it is. There is something growing between them, very slowly. More for him I suspect than for her just yet. She has too much going to to even recognize it's happening. He's cautious and measured with everything he does. He has his secrets too but he cannot write her off as insignificant anymore. They've spent too much time in each other's presence to not impact each other on a deeper level. I see this scenario play out exactly as you have written it. Her, trying to control the oncoming tide of emotions and failing, and his subtle reassuring presence, awkward yet compelled to care. Beautifully done.

God, if only you and I could write for these shows...

Love it! Love Ressler and Liz as partners and more :) They have such a great balance that all great partners and stories have. I really liked, "It sounds weird and foreign - and right and perfect..." because it shows how is internal feelings that he may not realize yet breaking through in his compassion and random thoughts. Loved it!

Yeah this is a great tag. What these two have is dynamic. Not sure the creators knew they would get this chemistry from these two actors but I hope they start doing more like what you have here. Thanks for posting this!

would've preferred to see some comfort interaction between Ressler and Liz last night, instead of that lame prolonged funeral scene..but I guess the writers want to avoid anything too overt
