This was charming and I think I know the picture it was inspired from, which of course makes it even more special. Thank you for posting. I've been looking all over this site for a good depiction of the friendship the professor and Luke share and this fit the bill superbly. I can finally go to sleep now since it cheered me up so much. It’s late, I have a big day tomorrow, and I ought to be asleep. Instead I’m pouring over this story, grinning like an idiot, and audibly squealing at every line of dialog. Though admittedly I thought the answer to the riddle at the end was a reflection. You know, since they’re so commonly referred to as pools. But hey, it could work. And I’ll you know I take puddles on a regular basis. I scoop ‘em up as I walk by, and they’re never seen again. Notice how they’re all gone the next day? Yeah. I rest my case.

…See what I mean? Sleep. I need it.

Anyway, jokes aside, you should be very proud of your writing. It’s vivid and witty, the characters and dialog are spot on, and the heart of your stories come though wonderfully. I read your other short story as well, and all I can say is thank you; I really hope there are even more of your incredible stories to come.

I think I got a glimpse of the fanart you were mentioning, and I really loved it, too.
I've always thought rain to be fascinating, especially those rainy days when everything kind of changes its colour, but, just like you, I tend to get a little more sleepy when it's one of those days. And you managed to describe it very well, both the atmosphere and the feeling. Loved it.
I hope to read more than this, you sure are talented :)
