There's only one complaint I have regarding this fanfiction: It is way too short.
I love reading stories, which take place during the time between House's infarction and the start of the actual series on Television.
So please write more of it!

As usual, I'm late to the party. But I wish I had gotten here sooner! Either you're in my head, or I'm in yours-but you gave me shivers with how seamlessly you meshed the events of One Week with this timeline. And you gave the characters great voices-dead on characterization with canon. Need more! )

Even better than the first chapter. Love how you take the small details from canon and blow them up into a full portrait of the person and the situation.

I love that we're able to sit in on the interviews. Chase's really shows his aptitude and potential to be House's true successor. Cameron's is more sad than enlightening, watching House struggle to deal with the new limitations his leg and the pain have given him, and take things out on Wilson as a consequence. Foreman's makes total sense given the parameters House set up. And so we get the first set of ducklings, along with House's difficulties in learning how to deal with chronic pain . . . completely IC for all parties, and excellent explanations of what happened behind the scenes.

I love how you showed the way the team came together. Great job. :)

I really like how you take what we know from canon about why House chose these particular fellows and spin it on to make sense. Your take on how House reacts to Rowan Chase's phone call and how Chase and Cameron's 'niceness' makes him choose a former felon makes particular sense to me - I'd always found canon explanation that he took Chase *because* his father phoned somewhat difficult to believe. But that he took Chase in order to beat Rowan Chase at his own game makes perfect sense.
