Aww! This is so awesome! I thought that they could've been related when I watched the movie! I was pretty sure I was the only one that that had occurred to, though! Cad ow did an awesome job with the comic, as did you with the story! Good job!

Finally saw the movie earlier tonight and I absolutely LOVED it! It's definitely my new favorite animated movie.

At the end when Jamie could finally see Jack, that's when I realized that they had to be related. They both have brown hair and eyes, (well Jack used to anyway) their faces look almost identical, and both of their names start with J. Not that the last thing is really proof but anyway. I figured Jack was his great something uncle.

Well anyway great story! Now Jack will feel even closer to Jamie. I'll have to check out the comic on deviantART.

My biggest problem here: Photographs weren't really used until the late 1800s, and even then usually only for very wealthy families until it became more modernized in the 1960s and 70s.

Now a sketch is a different story. Sometimes people could afford an inker to give them an ink drawing of a person, although again that wasn't exactly common.

I totally see it, Jamie being Jack's distant relative. Good story. You should totally write a follow up with Jamie figuring out that he's related to Jack.
