Nyaw, Ianto, don't give up on Jack, he's worth all the pain!

Love it, It's so Ianto to think like that and if he dose end up falling for Jack (Not that far into Torchwood) i'm sure he'd be like this about it after a while :P

These men sure know their states but is the ending supposed to be that foreboding though? Is that just what Ianto is expecting?

I don't think Ianto is that unsure of himself or Jack. You have nailed his voice, however, if he was that unsure and the statistics angle is pure genius on your part. The story is one part angst, one part romance, and one part humor. - very good combo.

I always contend that Jack really did love Ianto, but was just absolutley rubbish at any big, grand gestures or conventional 'I love you's.
And I like the way you use statistics in this!
